Sorry it's not angsty like you wanted.
T.W. Self hate
Roman sighed. Virgil had been missing for days, and he's not been in his room, yet Patton and Logan don't seem to be worried.
"He's not in his room."
"So?" Logan asked the clearly anxious fanciful facet.
"Are you not concerned? He hasn't been around for days, it's been nearly a week, yet you don't care!"
"Kiddo, we do care, but maybe he needs space."
"Or maybe he's hurt, and we don't know because you two are sitting around doing nothing! Thomas is slowly being affected, can you not see how badly Virgil must be doing if Thomas is becoming aloof again?"
"Roman, you are overreacting, Virgil is fine."
"No he isn't!" Roman stormed off into the imagination, in an attempt to find the anxious aspect.

After the entire day searching, Roman checked the forest, knowing it was the only place left to search.
When he reached the center, he found a small, darkly clad figure, laying in the middle. Roman raced over, and checked for a pulse, it was still there, albeit, faint.
He scooped up the small trait, and carried him back to the mind, and placed him on Roman's bed.
He rushed out to find Logan and Patton. "He wasn't fine." He muttered the entire time he was searching for them.
"Kiddo, you missed dinner." Patton spoke from the sofa, when Roman walked in.
"Yes, because finding Virgil was of a higher concern to me, than eating."
"You found Virgil?"
"Yes, he's barely breathing. He was passed out in the forest of the Imagination. He's probably been there since he went missing. Do you realise that if I didn't care, he would have died?"
Roman rushed to the kitchen and pulled out some water, and Patton set about helping him make some soft food, to help Virgil when he woke up.
-
A few days passed, and finally, Virgil woke up.
He saw a bright light out behind the door, yet the room was dark, the bed he was laying on was soft, and it took all he had to stay awake. As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he saw a figure in the chair by the desk, he could soon make out a darker item of clothing going across their chest, and finally figured out it was Roman in the room with him.
"Princey?" He croaked out, his voice broken from over a week of not using it, and even before he passed out, he'd been screaming, and crying, and his voice was broken long before that. The figure in the chair slowly moved over to the bed, and carefully sat next to him. They reached and turned on the light, and once both of their eyes adjusted, Virgil sighed in relief, and he was slightly disappointed since he thought it would have been Patton to worry, but he was okay that it was Roman.
"Why?" Roman asked, as he reached for the food on the bedside table, after he handed Virgil the bottle of water, which was gone almost immediately.
"I just... I'm not needed."
"Don't say that."
"Why?"
"It's a lie."
"How?"
"You help Thomas, make us think, and you mean everything to me. If you left, I don't know what I'd do."
"Be better."
"No. I wouldn't"
"Yes."
Before anything else was said, Roman pressed his lips to Virgil's and the latter let out a small gasp, before kissing back.
They parted soon after, and Virgil sighed.
"I care Virgil..."
"But I don't..."
"What don't you care about?"
"Myself..."
"Why?"
"Have you seen me?"
"Yes, you're amazing, and beautiful, and I love you."
"Why?"
"Because you're amazing, and I can't help but love you."
Virgil sighed, knowing he wasn't going to change Roman's mind, and he let Roman pull him into a hug.
Virgil soon ate, and once he did, Roman pulled him closer, the two shared a small kiss, and cuddled, allowing them both to fall asleep.
