Roman never got much sleep.

Anyone would think he would get the most sleep, since he cares so much about how he looks, however, what they don't realise is the reason why he cares so much about his appearance is because he gets so little sleep at night.

None of the other sides knew, nor was he planning on telling them, it was only by accident that Virgil happened to find out.

One evening, Roman was sitting watching a Disney movie in the commons, his eyes were fighting to stay open, and he was losing the battle.

Virgil walked in and say the prince like trait sat there half asleep, not meaning to startle him, he said "you could go to bed, Roman?"

The regal side shot up, eyes wide, hair disheveled, panic evident in his eyes. "What?" He looked around the room, upon his eyes settling on Virgil, he sent a sheepish smile and sat down, exhausted.

"I said you could go to bed. You look awful."

"And you look so much better." He replied sarcastically, ignoring Virgil muttering something about how he does because he actually slept.

The two remained in silence for a short while, before Virgil asked why Roman was so tired.

"I don't seem to be able to sleep at night, I try and try, but I just can't seem to get anywhere, I lay awake, staring at the wall, do you even realise how boring your walls get, even when you change them daily? I just want to sleep, and I can't" he began to whine at the end.

"Alright now, no need to whine" Virgil internally cringed, and continued to speak, "you could always talk to me, or something, I'm always awake late."

Roman groaned, not because of the idea, he rather liked it, but at the idea of talking to Virgil, he knew he would end up saying something stupid, however, he agreed to the idea, and watched Virgil leave, with a satisfied smile on his face.

That night, despite opposing the idea, Roman reached for his phone, and sent Virgil a text.

He immediately went back to staring at the wall, which he had been staring at for hours, and frankly, he was tired of doing it.

His focus was taken away from the wall when his phone buzzed next to him on the bed. He looked at the text, and immediately felt happier, knowing he wasn't alone.

V: Hey, you still can't sleep?

R: No, what made you think tonight would be different from others?

V: I dunno, I thought you may end up magically falling asleep after I mentioned helping, because I didn't think you'd wanna talk to me.

R: Why would you think that?

V: Because you always call me names and seem to hate me.

R: I don't hate you, I could never hate you.

V: Whatever Princey.

A few rooms over, Roman could hear a small laugh, he figured it was Virgil.

R: was that you?

V: Was what me?

R: The laugh?

V: Probably

R: Why?

V: You don't hate me. I thought you did.

R: I could never.

V: You said that already.

R: oh, right.

V: Anyway...

R: Yeah?

V: I don't know, I thought you may have something.
