In no way do I think Roman would ever be a player or a jerk, I am only making him this way for the purpose of the oneshot.

           

Everyone knew Roman, he was the popular, athletic jerk, much like the cliché's in movies.

He went around dating girls and guys and breaking their hearts. He didn't care.

Patton did.

Patton watched Roman hurt his two closest friends that did nothing to the arrogant jerk.

So, after watching Roman hurt more and more people, he decided to put an end to his games.

Before school one morning, he went and waited by Roman's locker.

As soon as Roman arrived, he saw Patton by his locker, he smirked and walked over to him.

Patton put his acting skills to the test and pretended to be madly in love with the athlete.

Roman grinned, knowing this would be an easy heartbreak. He handed his number over to the happy male and went on his was to class.

Patton went to his friends and showed them the number, letting them know he would start the "game" tonight.

The day went by quickly, Patton walked home with Logan and Virgil, allowing them to decide when and how Patton was going to introduce the idea of the game to Roman.

Roman stayed at football (soccer) practice for 2 hours, before he was able to go home and start planning on how this new fling was going to go.

As the night began to settle, Roman texted Patton.

How has your evening been?

Well let me make it better ;)

And how do you propose that happens?

As if! I heard you're a player. So let's play a game.

What kind of game?

Let's sweet talk, let's play fight, let's talk 24/7.

Let's give each other nicknames, let's hang out with each other's' friends.

Let's go on dates, let's talk on the phone all night long, let's hold each other, let's kiss and hug.

Patton shut his phone off after receiving the last message. The game was on, and he was determined to win.

A few days later, the game was going well, Patton was mostly mad at Roman, he had insulted him and he was not going to put up with it. He knew he would never fall for the arrogant jerk.

Roman was beginning to regret his harsh words to Patton after he had announced the game, he knew he was unkind, but he didn't want to apologise, knowing that Patton would begin to see he was weakening Roman.
