Short 'n' Sweet (Analogical)

I just trapped my finger and it hurts 😭

Virgil huffed as he tried to reach the cereal down off the fridge for the fifth time and failed.

He hated being short, the other sides mocked him for it. He couldn't help being vertically challenged. He just wanted to reach the cereal so he could eat.

He knew if one of the sides mocked him, he would get mad, he had a habit of getting Hangry when he hadn't eaten and he hated that too. He tried to keep it under control, but sometimes it just slipped out.

He huffed again, and he heard someone come into the kitchen and chuckle slightly.

He swore, if it was that Damn Prince, he would punch him.

"Love, do you require assistance?"

He turned to his boyfriend and nodded, pouting slightly. His arms flopped down to his side and he sighed.

"Why did I not get the height crap that you guys got?"

"Maybe because you are younger than us?"

"But you've always been that tall, and I've always been this tall." His lower lip stuck out further.

"That is because you will always be younger than us."

"But how do I get taller?"

His boyfriend handed him his cereal and he set about making his food.

"I do not know, but I do know, you are adorable, no matter what your height is."

Logan moved behind Virgil and wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's waist, resting his head on the shoulder of the shorter trait.

He finished making his cereal, and leaned back into Logan as he ate it.

"I'm not adorable." He spoke after finishing a bite of cereal.

"Of course you are." Logan spoke, never once moving away from his boyfriend.

Once Virgil had finished his breakfast, he was pressed against the side by his boyfriend, who leaned down, and pressed a kiss to his lips, which, due to how close they were when they began the kiss, turned into a heated one relatively quickly.

They pulled apart, breathless, and Logan spoke first, "you are always adorable and I love you so much."

"I'm not" he whined, "but I love you too, Nerd."

Logan smiled, and pressed a soft, loving kiss to his boyfriend's lips, who returned it happily.

When they parted, they went to Logan's room, and watched a documentary, and Virgil fell asleep in Logan's arms, and no matter how often he denied being adorable, he was adorable, and anyone else would agree with Logan.
