I know I need to upload to my other book, but I'm having a little bit of writers block for it.
So for now, enjoy this, whatever it is.
Logan slid to the floor, his back against the wall, his knees up to his chest. His heart was racing, he couldn't believe he'd had that happen to him. He knew people knew, but he hadn't realised it would come to this. He hadn't realised he'd be set up, in front of the school.
Tears fell from his eyes, coating his cheeks, how he hated high school, why couldn't people just be nice, why was he the one that had to suffer?
After the whole incident, he'd run to the theatre, little did he know, someone else was there.
It started with a voice, then the lights went to the stage, and a song filtered over the speakers, accompanying the voice, that echoed around the area.
He was awestruck, he didn't know anyone in the school with a voice like that, the right combination of high and low, of soft and harsh, quiet and loud. He loved it.
He peered over the chairs blocking his view, and gasped, the most popular male in the school was up at the front, singing, not a care in the world.
Logan was in awe, he knew Roman was a theatre kid, but he didn't know how musically talented he was.
Logan ducked back down, behind the seats again, when Roman glanced his way.
The singing stopped, Logan noticed, and he risked glancing over the seats again, only to be confused when Roman wasn't on the stage anymore.
"You come here often?"
A voice behind him startled him and he spun around, hand on his chest.
"You startled me, uhm... no. I do not come here often. I just..."
"Needed to get away?"
"Yes" he looked down, he wasn't happy, and the other male could sense that.
"Do you want to... uhm, talk?"
Logan was slightly shocked by the falter in Romans voice, the normally confident male faltered, and it was the first time Logan had seen it.
"I do not wish to be a burden to you, also, you do not know me."
"Of course I do, you're Logan, mr smart, who gets all A's and still thinks e can do better, who knows everything, even more than some teachers, who could finish college at age 10. The male that stays quiet out of fear of bullies, who is gay, and everyone knows, despite you trying to hide it."
Logan felt his cheeks heat up, Roman Frigging Sanders knew who he was. Should that matter? Probably not, but Logan was happy.
"Am I really that bad?"
"I don't think it's bad, you're confident in yourself, at least you're able to be gay, and be open about it. Well, kind of open about it."
"But, are you not open about your sexuality?"
"No. No one knows."
"But it is so obvious!"
"To you, you have a gaydar" Roman winked at the smarter male.
"I mean..."
"How about this, you and I go out for coffee one day, and you get to know me, the real me, and vice versa."
Logan nodded, "I would like that."
"It is settled then, next week, Tuesday, 6pm, the coffee shop?"
"Agreed"
The two males smiled, before departing the theatre, and if neither payed attention the rest of the day? Who's to know?
