I hope this is adequate for you.
Roman sat on the grass, watching as his boyfriend swirled around the sky, his wings carrying him up and down, a smile on his face, content to feel the wind in his face.
Roman was happy, he loved his boyfriend, and despite all they went through, they were still going strong.
Roman's mind drifted back to the day he asked Virgil out.
They had gone out of town for the weekend, and it had started to snow, causing Virgil to run outside and play in the snow, throwing it up in the air, and feel it fall back down, he flew up and caught some snowflakes, before landing, and building a snow fort and throwing snowballs at his best friend, who ended up going around the fort, and capturing Virgil in his arms, pulling him close, their breathing heavy from laughing and running around, their noses brushing together, and Roman asked him there, out in the snow, in the little fort Virgil had built, and Virgil had said yes, despite his fears of being caught, he wanted to be with Roman, as long as they kept it a secret. They shared their first kiss out in the snow, and when they pulled away, Virgil complained that he was cold, causing Roman to pick him up and carry him back to the hut, and placed him gently by the fire, before going to make some hot chocolate. They spent the rest of the evening cuddled up in front of the fire, watching cheesy movies.
Roman smiled fondly at the memory, which continued on in his head.
A few weeks later, their relationship had developed more, and they were even happier together, they spent more time together, they often went on dates, despite them being classed as "friendly outings" due to the rules in the school they were at.
They were in class together, drawing silly doodles, smiling to each other, and Roman wrote "I love you." But before Virgil could reply, the notebook was snatched out from under their noses by the teacher, who looked at the page, and scowled in disgust, taking the book, and locking it away in her drawer, and no matter how many times Virgil went back to ask for it, she wouldn't give it back.
A few days after that incident, photocopies of the journal were posted around the school, which was a lot like a teenager trying to bully someone, however it came from that teacher. She sent both Roman and Virgil glares whenever they were sat in that class, and both males tried going to the principle, but he refused to do anything.
Over the course of the next few months, Virgil started slipping into more panic attacks, and he shut himself off from Roman more. He wouldn't answer the calls or texts, he wouldn't answer his door, and he wouldn't talk to Roman in class. To say Roman was hurt was an understatement.
It took him a while, but Roman was finally able to get to Virgil, and talk to him, it turned out, Virgil was being bullied, badly, and he was too scared to talk to anyone, and he didn't want Roman to worry, so he shut himself off. Roman pulled the anxious male into a hug, telling him he had nothing to worry about, Roman would always be there for him, and he would do his best to protect the other male.
Not long after that, the bullying worsened, and both males went to their parents, explaining the situation, and their parents insisted on them transferring schools, making it so that they would not be bullied any longer.
So, after a long time planning, and an even longer time packing, the two males were "shipped" ( :D :D Sorry!) off to a school in France, one that welcomed all relationships, and actually cared about their students.
Roman and Virgil settled in immediately, making two friends, who also happened to be in a relationship, and despite their differenced, the two males were almost as cute together as Roman and Virgil.
Roman smiled to himself, and watched as his Griffin boyfriend landed next to him on the grass, "Roman" he whined to his Warlock boyfriend, who chuckled in response.
"Yes dearest?"
"Can we go now? I want to know the surprise." He continued to whine, taking a seat next to Roman.
"Patience." Roman smiled and turned to the male next to him, pressing a short kiss to his lips.
As the sun began to set, Roman took Virgil to the beach, the setting sun creating the perfect, cliché, moment.
As Virgil was messing with his hair, trying to move his bangs out of his face, Roman pulled out a box, and knelt down on one knee, opening the box, revealing a black band with a small black rose on it.
Virgil finally turned to Roman, eyes landing on the box.
"Virgil Sanders, I love you so much, and we have been through so much more, I was hoping that we will be able to go through so much more together, and I would like for you to marry me. Will you do me the honors?"
"Yes. Yes. Yes yes YES!" He nodded, and Roman slipped the ring on his finger, And Virgil wrapped his arms around Roman's neck, tears of happiness falling, and the two stayed like that for a while, waiting until the sun set before heading back home.
