Let's go through and see how many oneshots I start off with "Virgil"

T.W. Slight abuse.

Virgil didn't fit in.

He was the quiet one, the awkward one, yet he was also smart, and he was badly bullied for it.

Like all shy, awkward people, he crushed on someone, who would never acknowledge him.

The popular one, who was always cute.

Virgil would constantly find himself staring at him, or doodling in his books little hearts and everything else everyone who has a crush does.

However, Virgil would never talk to Roman, he was so popular, and if he messed up, even slightly, he would never live it down, and the idea of public humiliation for the rest of his high school days was enough to convince Virgil to hope his feelings just go away.

Not only was the idea of being bullied by his crush bad, his crush's "friends" bullied him already, and Roman never did anything to help. Although, in his defense, he never saw it happen.

Virgil quite often found himself wishing he was able to stand up to others, or speak to Roman, or do anything remotely useful, and would make his family proud, because currently, even they didn't like him.

Virgil would often lock himself in his room in an evening, and sing.

Singing was his way of removing all the negativity from his day, sometimes he sang sad songs, other times he sang happy ones. But he never wrote anything original, he knew it would never be good enough, despite what his music teacher said.

One night, as he was singing, his phone lit up, signaling he had a text.

He opened the text to see, "I can make everything you want happen."

He immediately thought it was Roman's friends pranking him, so he ignored it, only for another text to come through, "I'm not who you think I am."

V: Who are you?

FG: Someone who can help you.

V: No one can help me.

FG: Not with that attitude.

V: What do you want? Homework? Money?

FG: Nothing. I can give you what you want.

FG: You just have to give something up.

V: I don't have anything to give up.

FG: I can make you liked, I can get you to have the attention you want, all you have to do is stop singing.

V: Why? I need to sing!

FG: If you have everything you want, you wouldn't need to sing to escape.

V: What do I have to do?

FG: Go to sleep.

Virgil pulled off his glasses, and placed them on his bedside table, and he wasn't sure why, but he obeyed the text, he thought that maybe things would be different, hopefully.

He awoke the next morning, and put on his glasses, his room was the same, but when he went to his closet, his clothes were different.

He had expensive clothes and they even fit his colour scheme.

He put on a black and purple t-shirt and some ripped jeans, along with some black shoes. He put a black choker on, and styled his hair.

He found contacts in the bathroom, and put them in, instead of wearing his ugly glasses.
