The place is based on a picture I bought when I started writing this, I can't find an image of it, and I'm too lazy to take a picture, so just imagine it :D

He lay on the grass.

The moon shone through the cherry blossom trees above his head, illuminating the pink and red-ish blossoms. The moon was a brilliant, vibrant white, making the sky around it appear purple.

It was times like this that made him feel at ease, and he was able to clear his mind, get rid of all the negativity.

The branches hung over him, almost protectively, letting him know he was safe.

It was his area.

His bubble.

He was safe, free from thoughts that plagued him at night, free from any responsibilities, and free from reality.

It was like a dream.

Yet he knew it was real.

He was able to think, without thinking, and it relaxed him.

He loved his little space.

He didn't know that someone else felt the same way.

One evening, as he lay staring at the stars, thinking about anything and everything and nothing, someone else came through the bushes, startling him.

He sat up, eyes adjusting to the slight change in light, and saw nothing.

He was about to dismiss it, blame it on the wind when someone stepped forward, clearly as confused as he was.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know anyone else came here."

He shook his head, trying to find words, but the initial shock had knocked his words away.

"I can leave, I don't mind, I don't need it really."

Again, he shook his head, trying to swallow the fear and say anything.

"You... Can stay, I was just... watching the world go by, thinking... I guess." He rubbed the back of his neck and made room for the other male to sit down.

"I'm Patton" the other spoke.

Patton took a seat next to him and he managed to find his voice.

"Virgil." He said, loud enough for the other to hear, but not too loud that anyone else would hear him easily.

The two sat in a comfortable silence for a while before Patton broke it. "Why do you come here?"

"It's relaxing and allows me to escape, whilst thinking but not thinking. I just like it."

"I didn't know anyone else came here." Patton admitted, to which Virgil agreed.

The two sat talking for a while, nothing important was said about why either male was there that night, but they were okay in each other's company.

As the sun began to rise, the two males left their safe haven, with the other's number in their pocket.

They spoke often, whether it was by call or over text, but neither saw the other at the clearing.

Virgil began to worry if it was all his imagination and the number was real, but he wasn't having an actual conversation with someone, maybe he was going crazy.

Virgil spent every night there, hoping that Patton would show up, but he never did.

Patton always wondered if going back was the right thing to do, he didn't want to bother the other male, and if it was up to him, he would go back every night, but he had a boyfriend, and if he went back every night, he'd be accused of cheating, leaving the texts as the only way to communicate.
