Virgil was tired.

All the sides knew he never got much sleep, however, he wasn't just tired from lack of sleep, he was physically and emotionally tired, tired of life, tired of being him, tired of it all.

However, none of the sides knew how to help, nor did they understand.

Not that he expected them to, but he hoped they would at least try to understand.

Patton would try, he always found it hard to be happy and optimistic, but sometimes, he needed to be, to help Virgil.

Logan would try to find any logical reason as to why Virgil was acting that way, or feeling tired all of the time, but any solution he came up with was immediately rejected due to the fact that they were all in someone's head.

Roman just kept his distance, he didn't want to say something to upset the younger trait, and make him hate him more. Both would argue over ridiculous things, unable to agree to disagree. Putting the idea in Roman's head, that Virgil hated him, which was not the case.

Unfortunately, Virgil also believed that Roman hated him, leading him to the conclusion that the reason that Roman never visited him to see if he was okay was because he hated him.

Virgil never knew the true reasoning behind why Roman didn't visit.

And Roman would never want him to find out.

On days where Virgil was feeling even worse, due to his anxiety on top of his tiredness and depression, he was just an emotional wreck.

Those days happened quite often, and normally, Patton was there to help, this time, he wasn't.

Virgil was curled up on the sofa in the common room, and he was watching a blank screen on the TV, when Roman came in.

"You know, Virg, that if you turn the TV on, you would be much more entertained."

"I know, I just can't find the remote."

And that was where it started. His eyes filled with tears, and his voice caught in his throat, knowing his thoughts would become louder, and Roman would hate him more.

He thought to himself, "Not now. I don't want him to see me like this, he'll just make it worse."

He felt his breathing become more labored.

"It is right here Virg, by your feet."

"O-oh. I k-knew that."

"Are you alright?"

"I-I... N-no."

Why did you say that? Now you'll have to explain everything to him!

"What's wrong?"

Roman sat by Virgil's feet, careful not to disturb the small male, or startle him.

Virgil sat up, debating whether or not to tell the truth and trust him.

"I'm tired."

"Lack of sleep?"

"N-not just that..."

"Then what?"

"I'm tired of crying, I'm tired of yelling, I'm tired of being sad, I'm tired of pretending, I'm tired of being alone and I'm tired of being angry.

I'm tired of feeling crazy, I'm tired of feeling stuck, I'm tired of needing help, I'm tired of remembering and I'm tired of missing things, I'm tired of being different.
