Looking down I could see Becky's hand shaking on her lap. "You'll be fine." I whispered across to her making her look up at me.
"Really? It doesn't feel like it'll be fine right now." I giggled for her, allowing her head to lean onto my shoulder.
"Trust me, in a couple of hours you'll know you've been worrying about nothing." She hummed, knowing I was right. My words, however, still didn't stop her shaking. "What's worrying you the most?"
"That I can't do it without you by my side. I don't want to go in there without you." My heart broke for Becky, her eyes were full of pain.
"I'll be right here when it's all over, waiting to look after you." She chuckled, hinted with nerves.
"What about when I go in?" She sat up and looked at me, placing her hand over mine.
"I'll go as far as I can, once you're sedated you won't even know where you are. You'll be all over the place." Her giggle echoed out once more, as above my own hand I could feel hers settle.
"Just think about how well your knee will be after this, it's all worth it in the end darling."
