I could feel my chest pounding as I inhaled and exhaled quickly, watching as the door flew open.
It took a few moments before his strong accent filled with the room, "babe, you doing alright?"
I nodded, not wanting to speak, feeling his presence beside me.
"You can tell me if something is wrong, I can make it better." I shook my head, inhaling strongly.
"Please just drop it, I'm fine." I didn't dare look at him, knowing his eyes would be glancing at me in despair.
"I don't like when you lie to me love, you're making me really worried."
I turned around, shooting him a vicious glare. "I said just drop it! Why can't you understand that?"
Instantly I felt myself wracked with guilt, his expression dropped to one of sadness.
"I didn't mean that," I corrected, "I'm sorry."
"It's fine," he whispered, draping his arm across my shoulders, "just keep taking those deep breaths, I'm right here."
I nodded, falling into his muscular chest, feeling a lot safer.
"It's alright that you don't want to talk about things, but whenever, if ever, you do, I'm right here for you," he whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
