"Corey!" I shouted, catching his tattooed figure walking down the corridor. "Have you got a moment?"
"Of course." Once I caught up to him he pulled me aside, his piercing eyes looking anywhere but at me. "What's up?"
"I wanted to talk to you." His smile disappearing, as he finally noticed the sad expression on my face. "I need to be honest with you about something that's been troubling me."
"What is it?"
"I feel like you're not into me, us, anymore like you once were." He nodded, scratching the top of his head.
"I see." His blunt expression was like a stab to the heart as a few tears rolled down my cheeks.
"Damn," I muttered, "I always let my emotions get the better of me."
"Is that truly what you think?" I nodded, looking at him through my test stained eyes.
"I just don't understand, why can't you love me as much as I love you?"
"I do love you, of course I love you. I didn't realise that I made you think this way." His arms wrapped securely around me, squeezing me in tightly.
"I'm sorry," I whispered.
"Don't be stupid, I'm glad you could be honest with me, and I promise I'll do everything I can to change the way you feel."
