"Don't you think this is weird?" I whispered across to Tye. He looked up from the menu giving me a puzzled look. "There's so many couples around here, and then just us."
"Sir, madam, would you like to order?"
We both looked left as a waiter approached. "Or would you like a few more minutes?"
"No I think we're ready," Tye replied in behalf of us both.
"Just to let you know we have some offers on today as it's Valentine's Day if you'd like to treat your girl." I looked across at Tye, who's face froze.
"Oh, I think we'll just stick with what we want." He didn't even try to correct the waiter as we both put our orders in.
The next couple of minutes were awkward to say the least as we both started to drink our wine. I could tell Tye was a little tense.
"You alright?" I asked, he nodded looking across at my glumly. "So I'm your girlfriend now?" I asked with a a giggle.
"Sorry, I didn't know what to say." I smiled, shaking my head at him.
"Tye you could've saved money, I would've played along of course." His smile finally grew, laughing across at me, bringing the mood back up.
