Me: HELLO! Thank you so much for helping this book hit 10k. When I started off, I just expected this to be a small little hobby, to get around 100 reads if I prayed every night and got just a bit of Lucky's luck. I also nearly flunked english when I was in primary school, so that's that. This... It's far off from what I've expected. I don't know how to thank you guys, you're all so amazing.
For 10k, we're going to have a little fun (just a little more than we usually do). First off, some facts about this book!
1. As said before, I nearly flunked english in primary. I noticed that, after I started this book out of boredom at the start of secondary, my english grades have gotten... better? I don't know, I just found out that my grades aren't as... disastrous. We had one unit where the assessment was to write a pastiche on a book of our choosing from three books. I, being a hardcore reader of original books and fanfiction, chose the longest book with the content that interested me the most.
When it came to writing the pastiche, we not only had to continue our writing from a piece of writing from the original book, but we had to imitate the author's original style with similar words, paragraph sortings, and such.
Therefore, fanfiction had helped me succeed in school. Take that, parents who tell me writing won't get me anywhere useful in life!
2. I know in context, 10k isn't a large number, but to me, 10k is, well... unimaginable. Even my first chapter has over 500 reads. I don't even know 500 people! This book has gotten even further than I have ever imagined. No matter whether this is luck, fate, talent(probably not), or just pure kind souls who made hundreds of accounts and kept rereading to make me feel better, this is awesome.
3. DELAYS ARE TERRIBLE. I would know, since I read a lot of fanfiction from many MANY fandoms. It's not just that small disappointment, it's also feeling that guilt of wanting more but you know that the author(s) most likely have a perfectly reasonable reason for why they haven't updated. In fact, they probably shouldn't even update if they've got a lot on their shoulders, but they still update just for you.
It breaks me on the inside, knowing that many people are on both sides of this problem. This is why I feel like, I don't know how to explain this, this constant stupid goddamn guilt. Contemplating this has taken away some of my editing time, so I apologize for any future delays caused by this. Also, schoolwork.
4. I don't deserve these views. I'm just a schoolgirl randomly writing down what you guys want to see in story-script form. I seriously don't deserve this many views. You guys are my motivation, and you guys are way too kind in the comments. You guys are way too awesome for this world. I love you guys, so so so very much.
