TW cursing, mention of homophobia, controlling parents
Virgil couldn't focus in class again. This time, however, it wasn't due to his concussion. He was plotting how to convince Patton to confess to Logan. He still couldn't just tell him Logan liked him too, could he? Would he even believe him? Maybe he could enlist Roman to help? Yeah. Roman would probably be able to figure this out better than he could. Virgil wasn't really used to dealing with other people.
During lunch, Virgil insisted on "giving Patton a break for once" and dragged Roman away to help him make up a plate.
"I need your help, Princey," Virgil muttered once they were away from the others.
"Yeah, I'm already helping you," Roman said gesturing to the plate in his hands.
"No- not with the food! With something else!" Virgil growled. He was already starting to regret his decision. "Listen, I need you to help me set up Patton and Logan."
Roman stared at him as a grin lit up his face.
"You want to set up Patton with Logan?"
Virgil nodded.
"Yes! We just need to convince Patton to confess to Logan!"
Roman rubbed the back of his neck.
"I don't know how that's going to go over. I'm all for romance, but Logan can be pretty dense when it comes to feelings. We don't even know if he's gay."
"Just... trust me."
"Wait, is he actually gay?"
"Yeah," Virgil said rolling his eyes. "All he needs is a little push."
"What about-"
"Just trust me on this, okay?"
Roman thought about it for a moment before agreeing.
"Okay," he said.
They rejoined the others with food and enjoyed their lunch. Roman was more interested in the usual banter than Virgil was. Virgil much preferred just enjoying his lunch in peace. Although, he was struggling to enjoy his lunch at all with how much stress he had piling up. It was a lot easier focusing on his friends' romance than the pile of homework and the midterms creeping up on him, but it couldn't remove the tenseness in his stomach. He picked through his plate as best as he could even though he felt it'd make him sick. At least if he was sick he could be sick alone without anyone worrying over him. He didn't like anyone worrying over him and he hated wasting money. Especially since he was out of work for a little while. So, he ate.
After lunch, they walked back to the student center. Roman pulled him aside on the way there. They hung towards the back of the group to make sure they weren't disturbed in their plotting.
"I've been thinking," Roman said.
"That's dangerous."
"Oh hush, Panic at the Everywhere!" Roman said lightly slapping his shoulder. "I think Joan and Thomas would be able to help us out. The more people we have on board with this the easier it'll be to convince him."
"I don't know... This is Patton's secret. We shouldn't tell anyone else without his permission."
"Who said we were going to tell them?" Roman said.
"What you're going to convince Patton to confess his feelings for Logan to Thomas and Joan first?"
"I didn't say it was a brilliant plan, but if all four of us talk to him, we might be able to help boost his confidence."
