TW self-deprecation, mention of homophobia

Sun Dec 13

Virgil woke up to everyone moving around in the hallway. He got up to see them taking things outside for break. Virgil sighed as he looked at his duffle bag in the corner of the room. He went to the bathroom and did his makeup. He took his makeup make to his room and placed it in his duffle bag before getting changed. He threw his pajamas in the bag and zipped it shut.

"Oh, good morning, Virgil," Logan said as he walked in.

"Morning," Virgil muttered.

"Are you going to join us for breakfast?" Logan asked.

Virgil sighed.

"Sure," he said.

Logan gave him a confused look.

"Is everything okay?"

Virgil shrugged.

"I guess I'm going to miss seeing you guys. I mean I know there was Thanksgiving, but that was just a week and I was with the twins the whole time."

"You'll be with Janus."

"Yeah, I know. But he's only one of you guys. I don't know, I've never really had friends before. I don't want to lose you guys."

"Virgil," Logan kneeled down on the floor next to him, "I don't want to leave either, but it's only a few weeks. And there's the ski trip to look forward to. I also know that Janus is only half an hour's drive away from where I live. There's still a chance we can visit each other over break. Patton too if he's willing to make the trip."

"What am I doing?" Patton asked from the doorway causing the two on the floor to jump.

"Holy shit, Patton! Don't scare me like that!" Virgil said.

"Sorry! I didn't mean to! I just wanted to make sure you were awake and I heard my name!"

"You're fine, Patton. We were just discussing the possibly of meeting each other over break before the ski trip."

Patton gasped.

"Oh! Maybe I can introduce you to Melany! I'd love for you guys to meet her! It's a bit of a drive for me, but I can't imagine not seeing my kiddos for so long."

"Patton, please. I'm hardly your child," Logan said rolling his eyes.

"No," Patton said as he wrapped his arms around Logan, "you're my boyfriend."

Logan blushed causing Virgil and Patton to laugh.

"I-I hardly see how that's funny!" Logan said indignantly.

"You're just being cute," Patton said.

"N-no! Stop!" Logan sputtered out as he blushed a little harder.

"So, you'd be willing to come see us over break?" Virgil asked.

"Yeah, maybe! If Melany's parents are okay with her coming too then I will. I want to spend as much time as I can with her since I don't get to see her often."

"That's fine! There's no pressure," Virgil said.

"We could also drive up to visit you at some point if Janus and Virgil are okay with that," Logan offered.

"Oh! That'd be awesome! I'd love for you to meet my family!" Patton said. "My moms are going to love you!"

"Moms? As in two?" Virgil asked.

"Oh, yeah," Patton scratched the back of his head. "My parents are lesbians."

"Well, at least I know they're supportive. And I do hope they like me," Logan said.
