Spring Break Part 2

After breakfast, Remus dragged Janus and Roman outside. Thomas and Patton followed soon after. Joan and Virgil sat on the couch with their phones and Logan sat down in another chair with a book after washing the dishes.

It was quiet and Virgil enjoyed the peace while almost everyone else was outside. Eventually, he felt Joan look outside before getting up and joining the others outside. Logan glanced up at Virgil for a second before closing his book.

"Oh, I almost forgot," Logan muttered as he walked upstairs.

Virgil went back to scrolling on his phone. He could vaguely hear the others yelling from outside. Soon enough, Logan came back down and sat down next to Virgil holding out his hand. Virgil looked down and noticed the pills. He had almost forgotten as well. He took them from Logan's hand and walked into the kitchen for a glass of water. Logan moved to stand on the other side of the island as Virgil downed the pills and drained his water. He placed the glass in the sink and turned to look at Logan.

"There, it's done," he said as he leaned on the counter.

"That's good," Logan nodded.

Virgil glanced at the door as he heard more yelling.

"What do you think they're doing out there?" Virgil asked.

"I'm almost afraid to ask but I suppose some sense of reason is necessary," Logan sighed as he looked back. "Should we join them?"

Virgil sighed.

"I'd rather not, but I guess we should."

Logan nodded and the two of them walked out of the backdoor. Patton and Thomas were sitting on a dock with their feet in the water while Joan and Remus were standing behind them laughing at Roman and Janus, who were swimming back to shore.

"What are you guys doing?!" Logan asked.

"Remus pushed us in!" Roman yelled back.

"Is it cold?" Remus asked.

"Why don't you see for yourself?" Janus asked as he pushed Remus in.

Remus tried to steady himself but ended up losing his balance and splashing the others. The others screamed as he fell. Joan was laughing while holding up their phone and Patton was scolding Janus.

"It's not that bad," Janus waved him off.

Remus popped his head out of the water and grinned.

"I don't see why you were complaining!"

"Because I don't like wet jeans, Dumbass!" Janus yelled back.

Virgil hung back as Logan walked forward. He watched Remus pull Janus back into the water with him screaming the whole way. Roman joined the others on the dock making sure to avoid the edges. He looked at Joan laughing before pulling them into a hug. Joan yelled and pushed Roman away. Roman laughed and ran as Joan took off their shoe and swung it at Roman. Logan took off his shoes and set them down before joining Patton and Thomas. Patton looked up and waved Virgil over.

"Do you want to put your feet in?" Patton yelled over.

Virgil shook his head and took a step back as he stared over the water. Patton turned back to Remus and Janus splashing each other in the water before pulling his feet up. Virgil saw them pause while Patton spoke to them and they both nodded before Remus splashed Janus again, this time Janus tackled Remus. Patton turned to the others as well as Roman sat down by the edge of the water. He watched them talk before Patton broke away and walked towards Virgil.
