Sun Nov 8
Everyone spent most of their Sunday doing homework in the student center again. They would glance at each other from time to time, mostly checking on Patton to make sure he was okay. Virgil could almost cut the tension with a knife. They decided to do pizza and a movie for lunch for their weekly movie night. Everyone thought Patton should pick the movie this time. Janus and Remus decided to take Virgil to work as an excuse to go shopping for supplies for the prank.
Mon Nov 9
On Monday, Virgil was nervous about whether or not Logan would stick to his word. He didn't know how Logan was going to pull it off and he sure hoped she didn't get the wrong idea from it. None of them saw Logan until closer to dinner. Thomas distracted Patton while the others crowded together to discuss.
"So?" Janus asked.
Logan sighed as he sat down.
"She's in Moore Hall on the third floor. Room 108. Her stuff is on the right side of the room."
The others smiled.
"Perfect!" Joan said.
"All you have to do now is distract her while we set up," Remus said.
Logan turned to glare at Virgil.
"That wasn't part of the plan!" he said.
Virgil held up his hands in mock surrender.
"This is the first I'm hearing of this!"
"She'll get suspicious if any of us do it!" Remus said.
"I don't want to spend time with her!" Logan protested.
"Okay then, just tell us when your class with her is," Janus said.
"It's from 10 to 10:50 Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I don't know much else about her schedule."
"Dammit!" Remus said banging his hand on the table. "We all have classes then!"
Janus faked a cough.
"I don't know, I think I might be sick on Wednesday," Janus said.
"Oh no, Janus! I can't believe I'm your roommate right now! You're going to get me sick too!" Remus said with a smirk on his face.
"I can't believe you guys are considering skipping class for a prank!" Logan said.
Remus faked a cough.
"What's that? I'm too sick to hear you!"
Logan rolled his eyes and turned away from them.
"Just don't drag me down with you."
Virgil was kind of excited for the prank. It was different than the ones Remus had played on them so far and Virgil was glad he wasn't on the wrong end of his wrath.
Tues Nov 10
Tuesday felt like it would never end. They all made sure to stick with Patton in hopes that Hannah would back off. They found her watching them at lunch. Virgil found a spider outside and pointed it out to Remus and Janus. They exchanged wicked grins as Remus caught the spider. In the dining hall, Remus walked by Hannah to look at the dessert table, placing the spider on her head as he passed. A few minutes later they heard her scream. They exchanged snickers as she stood up and started flailing. Patton glared at them.
"What did you do?!" he asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Janus said as he straightened in his chair.
"It's more of an inside joke," Remus said. "You wouldn't understand. I can be very funny sometimes."
"So, Hannah freaking out right now has nothing to do with why you're laughing?" Logan asked.
"An added bonus," Virgil said.
"Do you care to let any of us in on this joke of yours?" Logan asked.
They glanced at each other.
"You wouldn't get it," Remus said before stuffing his face with pasta.
Wed Nov 11
On Wednesday, Virgil could barely pay attention in class. Remus and Janus left early that morning. They weren't sure when she or her roommate would be back, so they wanted to make the most of the 50 minutes they had. Virgil kept hoping they wouldn't get caught by anyone. Virgil felt his phone buzz after his calculus class. He and Joan both looked at their phones to see the same message.
Remus: It's done.
Following the text were two pictures. One was of a bed with the covers folded to reveal the sheets. The two had covered her sheets with lube they had bought at the store the other day and then covered it with her blanket. They had even managed to get some on the pillow. Next was of a note.
Dear Hannah,
You fucked with the wrong people. Leave our friend alone or we'll be back for round two.
Love,
Your new enemies
They both snickered as they sat down in the student center. Remus and Janus joined them a few minutes later with big grins on their faces.
"You actually did it!" Joan said.
"Hell yeah!" Janus said.
"I just wish we'd be able to see the look on her face when she goes to bed tonight! That's the best part of every prank," Remus said as he sat down.
"Do you really think she's going to take your warning seriously?" Virgil asked.
Janus shrugged.
"I hope she does," Janus said.
"A part of me hopes she doesn't. I'm already making plans for round two!" Remus said with a wicked grin on his face.
"So are we just supposed to let Patton go somewhere alone and see what she does?" Virgil asked.
"We just wait and see what she does and hope she leaves him alone. We're still going to stick with him just in case. We don't actually want to give this bitch the chance to talk to him."
"Oh, we should have told her to apologize to him!" Janus pouted.
"Right, like she's actually going to say she's sorry to him," Joan said.
"It'd give us another reason to go back, though," Remus said.
"Calm down! You already filled her bed with lube! We don't want to go overboard," Virgil said.
"But she made Patton cry!" Janus said. "No one makes Patton cry!"
"I know! I know! I hate her too! It's just... we don't want to go too crazy just yet. Let's just see how things go for right now and then we'll plan out our next move," Virgil said.
"I think that's fair," Joan said.
"Yeah, fine. Whatever," Remus said reluctantly.
