TW cursing, mental breakdown, arguing
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Virgil groaned as he rolled out of bed and turned off his alarm. He changed into his usual skinny jeans, emo band tee, and hoodie before turning to apply his makeup. He gasped as he looked at his new black eye. How was he going to explain that? He did his best to cover it up with makeup but it was still swelling. He pulled his hood over his head covering his face with shadows. He switched out his books and walked out of the house. He went to his pulp fiction class mentally kicking himself for not finishing the assigned reading. He tried his best to keep up with the conversation. He was able to keep up with most of it, but without the whole story, it was hard to understand.
After class, he decided to grab a coffee at the student center and get a head start on the reading for next week. He purchased his coffee and went to sit at his usual seat when he saw Patton sitting there.
"Oh, hey!" Patton said, "Sorry, I hope you don't mind!"
Virgil shook his head.
"It's free seating," he muttered as he turned to find a new table.
"Where are you going?" Patton asked.
Virgil turned to look at him.
"To find a seat."
"You don't want to sit with me?"
Virgil bit his lip.
"Sorry, I just assumed you wanted to be alone."
Patton giggled.
"I could always use the company!" he said as he patted the seat next to him.
Virgil tugged at his hood making sure it was still over his head before sitting down next to Patton.
"Do you mind if Logan joins us?" Patton asked.
Virgil shrugged.
"It doesn't matter," he muttered as he pulled out his book.
A few minutes later he heard movement.
"Why do you have your hood up?"
Virgil looked up to see Logan sitting down in front of Patton holding a steaming cup of coffee. Virgil just shrugged and went back to his book.
"That doesn't answer my question," Logan said.
"I just... feel like it, okay?" Virgil said.
"That-"
"As long as it makes him happy and it isn't hurting anyone, it's fine. Right, Logan?"
Logan sighed.
"Of course. I was just wondering as to why, but if you merely wish to have it up, then there's no harm in having your hood up."
Virgil chewed on the inside of his cheek as he tried to focus on his reading again.
"Virgil?"
He looked up to see them both staring at him.
"Are you okay?"
Virgil nodded.
"You're shaking," Logan said.
Virgil looked down at his hands holding his book. Shit. He really was shaking. What was wrong with him? He didn't know how to answer. He felt a hand on his shoulder and jumped. He looked up to see Patton looking at him with a worried expression.
