Mon Jan 11

Virgil yawned as he placed the last bag in the car. It was too early to be existing, but they had to get an early start if they wanted to make it to the others at a reasonable time. Roman and Remus had already texted the others that they were there with their dad and step-mom. They were still receiving texts from the others about their departures. Logan had already left and Patton was about to leave. Thomas and Joan were already on their plane. Virgil texted the group that he and Janus were heading out as he sat down in the passenger seat.

Janus turned on some music they both enjoyed and started the car. They stopped to grab some coffee to help them wake up before heading back out on the road. Janus drove the whole way and Virgil talked to him to make sure he stayed awake and sane. They only stopped a couple times for fast food and gas/bathroom breaks. Hours later, they arrived.

Virgil texted the group chat as they parked. They got out and grabbed their bags before walking into the resort where Roman was waiting for them in the lobby.

"Virgil!" Roman said his face lighting up upon seeing him.

"A-and Janus!" Virgil said gesturing to Janus beside him.

"Right! Sorry!" Roman laughed nervously. "It's good to see you guys!"

"You're fine, you haven't seen your boyfriend in weeks," Janus laughed. "I understand you overlooking me."

"I'm sure Remus will be happy to see you," Roman said. "He's upstairs. I'll lead you guys up to the rooms!"

Roman grabbed Virgil's hand and led them to the elevators.

"Logan and Patton are already here and Thomas and Joan should be arriving soon."

"How are the rooms set up?" Janus asked.

"We were able to get two rooms. So a couple of people might have to share a bed. Remus and I are sharing one, obviously, my dad and step-mom are. There's also a pull-out couch in each room if you'd rather use that."

"I think Virgil and I could share a bed," Janus smirked.

"No way am I waking up to your face!" Virgil said.

"I'm not that bad!"

"You woke me up early every morning! Why couldn't you just let me sleep in one day!"

"Mom made breakfast every morning and you almost slept through it!"

"I don't need a warm breakfast. I'm perfectly fine with waking up by myself to the smell of food or eating a cold breakfast later."

"You're going to miss it later," Janus rolled his eyes.

They all turned as a loud squealing filled the hall. A second later Janus was tackled into a hug by a golden puffball.

"Oh my goodness! I missed you guys so much!" Patton giggled his curls bouncing as he squeezed Janus.

"Yes!" Janus strained. "We missed you too! But I'm starting to miss breathing!"

"Oh! Sorry!" Patton said as he let go of Janus before turning to Virgil.

"Hey, Pa- oof!" Virgil ended up getting bear-hugged by Patton.

"Oh, hello," Logan said as he walked into the hall.

"Logan!" Janus said. "How's it going?"

"I'm doing well. Yesterday was my last day at both jobs and I'm ready to relax a little before the semester starts."

"Good! You deserve it after all that work!" Patton said as he released Virgil. "You're always overworking yourself and you need to relax a little."
