TW arguing, mention of suicide and self-harm

Wed March 3

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

"No," Virgil whined as he turned over in bed.

It felt as if he had just fallen asleep and now the alarm was going off. He didn't want to deal with the day anymore. It was too much and he was way too tired to care.

"Virgil-"

"I don't want to do today. Can we try again tomorrow so I can sleep?"

Logan hesitated.

"I... I don't know if that's a good idea."

Virgil sighed.

"I don't want to get out of bed," he muttered as he buried his face in his pillow.

"I know, but you still have to at least make an appearance today. Maybe you and Roman can stop by for coffee before class."

Virgil rolled out of bed.

"I think I'd do better if I could inject caffeine straight into my veins. Maybe then I could get something done."

"How many classes do you have today?" Logan asked hesitantly.

Virgil paused as he thought over the unexpected question.

"Um... three: Spanish, graphic design, and a lab."

Logan frowned as he stared into space. He gave Virgil a small nod before walking towards the door.

"Thank you," he said before leaving.

Virgil stood in the room staring at the closed door. What just happened? Was Logan okay? He couldn't wrap his head around the interaction. He glanced around the room before going to his closet and getting dressed for the day. Virgil was digging around for his shoes when the door opened causing him to jump.

"Virgil?" Logan asked as he entered the room. "What are you doing on the floor?"

"Just... having a heart attack. Geez! I thought you were done with in here!"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you."

"I'm fine," Virgil said as he pulled himself off the floor.

"Right," Logan cleared his throat. "Anyway, I wanted to make sure you remembered your medicine."

Virgil looked at the organizer on his desk.

"Oh... right," Virgil sighed as he picked it up. Virgil grabbed the water bottle from his desk and downed the pills for the day before turning back to Logan. "Happy?"

Logan gave him a small smile and nodded before leaving the room again. Virgil sighed before continuing the search for his shoes. He left the room and walked to Spanish with Roman. After class, the two walked to Roman's next class in silence. Virgil noticed Roman glancing at him from time to time as they walked.

"Is something wrong?" Virgil asked as they reached Roman's class.

"What do you mean?" Roman asked confused.

"I don't know... you just... you've been glancing at me all day. Did I mess up my eye shadow?"

Virgil pulled out his phone as Roman placed a hand over his.

"No, you look fine. I'm just... worried. Logan-"

"Oh," Virgil said as realization set in.

He should have known last night's outburst would lead to some worry in the group. He didn't expect it to happen so quickly.
