TW cursing, mention of drugs
Virgil sighed as he looked at his drawing. Gosh, it sucked. He closed his sketchbook and placed it back in his art drawer before leaving the classroom. He walked back to his car taking in the crisp autumn air. He paused as he passed the student center. He wondered if they were in there. Did Janus tell them about how he got his black eye? He shook his head before continuing his walk to the parking lot. He turned on his playlist as he drove home thinking about which assignment he should do when he arrived. Once he was home he unlocked the door and crept past his father passed out on the couch. He dropped his bag on the floor before changing and removing what was left of his makeup. He was such an ugly mess.
He threw himself onto his bed still covered in only blankets. He didn't feel like getting new sheets. He pulled out a textbook and papers and started his assignments. He ended up falling asleep around one in the morning.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
He groaned as he rolled out of bed. Stupid alarm clock. Stupid morning. Stupid blankets tangling him. Dammit! Why did he have to wake up? He faceplanted on his bed. He just wanted a few more minutes. If he stayed in bed he'd fall asleep again and then he'd miss class. He couldn't afford to miss class, he'd fail. He groaned as he slid out of bed and onto the floor. Why was being awake so difficult? He slowly got dressed and did his makeup. He didn't feel like doing too much work so he just went with eyeshadow. Even though the others knew, he still made sure to keep his hood up. He grabbed his stuff for the day and walked out of his room.
"What time is it?" He heard his father grumble.
Virgil pretended not to hear him as he walked to the front door.
"Virgil?"
Shit.
He turned around to face his father who was sitting up on the couch.
"I asked you a question!" he said sternly.
Virgil sighed as he pulled out his phone.
"It's almost 8:30. I have to get to class."
"On a Saturday?"
"It's Friday."
"Friday?"
Virgil nodded. His father scrambled around for his phone. He lit the screen and cursed.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I thought you knew..."
"Just go to class!"
Virgil chuckled to himself as he left the house. He drove to school singing along to his playlist. As soon as he walked into Spanish, Roman waved him over.
"Hey, Brad Pitiful!" Roman said.
"What do you want, Princey?"
"To talk. I'm bored."
"Play on your phone or something."
"I don't want to play on my phone."
"Sucks to be you then."
Virgil started walking away but Roman grabbed his sleeve.
"Don't leave me! I'm booooooored!"
"Class is starting in five minutes!"
"That's five whole minutes we can talk!"
"Five whole minutes you can stare into space."
Roman scoffed.
