Beautiful green and orange colors danced across Kennedy's mind in the shape of a man and a young girl alongside another taller female. A smile seemed to lift the tops of there cheeks up causing small divots to be formed on each cheek.
The smaller orange glowing girl danced around the two figures who clapped as they sang along to some song that Kennedy hadn't been able to register in her state of slumber.
"Go my little bug, go!" The orange women sang with laughter ringing in her small ears.
Squeals released from the tiny child's blurry mouth as the green man swooped her into his wide arms, blowing little raspberries against her neck, causing the small child to shrink her neck as close to her shoulders as she possibly could.
"Help! Help me Auntie Bon!" The small one shout to which the orange women, Bonnie, stood up only to start tickling the girls side relentlessly.
As laughter shrieked into Kennedy's sleeping mind a small smile grazed her sleeping figures mouth causing the two boy's sitting across from her to smile at how peaceful she looked.
George and Fred hadn't seen her so peaceful and quiet since they started sharing a room together. Most nights for the first few days to weeks Kennedy spent sitting restlessly staring blankly at a wall or the roof above them.
When George had woken up one night to some soft sniffles coming from a teary eyed Kennedy he made sure to stay awake every night until he knew for sure that Kennedy had fallen asleep. This result in a grumpy George for a week or so until Fred offered to switch off every now an again with him.
At first Kennedy denied the actions they took until she began to feel much more energetic and alive during first few days of actually being able to get sleep.
After about three weeks of this Kennedy had began to get into a routine until she had woken with a start in the early morning after having another nightmare. It was always the same every night, though instead of the usual snake surrounding her as per usual, her dream took a turn she hadn't expect tonight.
"Sorry Buttercup! She was my sister before she was your Aunt!" The green man chuckled sinisterly into his daughters ear.
"Alright Foster. That's enough, let the girl breathe." Orange glowing Bonnie said with a smile as she watched the two interact.
"Daddy?" Kennedy mumbled as she placed a gentle hand against his leg.
"Yes?" He respond as he bent down to meet her eye level.
"What if the bad man comes to get me again tonight?"
This made Fosters blurred green eyes furrow into slits as he looked from Kennedy to his older sister.
"What bad man, sweetheart?" He asked her with confusion on his face.
"The one behind me." The orange girl state to which Foster and Bonnie let out ferocious laughs. Wrapping his long arms around her he tucked his little girls head against his shoulder with a hush whisper floating from his lips.
"Nobody's behind you darling."
"And believe me if there were your father and I would protect you." Bonnie said as she rubbed Kennedy's back soothingly, though the girls eyes trailed directly passed her Aunt into older Kennedy's eyes.
"I'm not worried about this me. I'm worried about that me." The small child whispered lowly as she raised a shaky finger toward her older self, causing Kennedy's inner consciousness to waken lightly as she looked down to see her own body in her dream.
