Maisie's soft snores were the only thing Kennedy heard from where she lay in her bed snuggled into her comforters. Once more her mind was full of thoughts twisting and turning around the mountain of decisions and possibilities piles in her brain.
Her gaze was drawn to the window across from her with the twinkling stars above. A disturbing feeling was pit deep in her stomach and somewhere deep in her brain was an itching feeling. Like someone or something was trying to warn her that it was there.
Discomfort was all Kennedy felt that night as her bones ached, more so in her spinal region. Her shoulders were sore and the bottoms of her feet burned from the excessive amount of walking she had done just this day.
Her mind pound as her head was overcome with a massive migraine from her constant inability to peacefully sleep. Eyelids cried for her to let them rest, but being unable to hinder her as she stares blankly into the black twinkling sky.
The moon glistened above in full bloom, shining its elegant and feathery light down onto the wooden floors around the room.
A breathy sigh, quiet and gentle slipped past Kennedy's lips as she fumbled with the hem of her pillowcase. The ball was a day away yet she never had quite been able to go and get herself a dress.
Event after event prevents her from doing so the previous day as she spent a majority of her time helping Milo scout out a date for the ball and pushing Gabrielle to ask Alicia as he had planned for quite some time.
When she arrived and pushed for Gabrielle to go to the girl, he and Milo sat her down carefully and explained why they needed her here.
It turns out that Gabrielle had already asked Alicia to the dance and she had said yes, so to say Kennedy had been overly confused was not a big jump.
And eventually, she came to understand why Kennedy was needed to be talked to.
Milo needed help asking a young man named Sean to the ball, and he was the boy was one of two things.
1) He was already invited to attend the ball by a boy or girl
Or
2) He was straight.
Either way in Milo's mind there was no positive to the situation and Kennedy had to take a minute to think about this all. She was a little overwhelmed with having just found the boy played for a different team when she hadn't even spoken to the boy much outside of class or without Leighton and Benny nearby, nonetheless helping him ask the boy he fancied out.
It was rather all of the sudden to Kennedy since she hadn't taken the time to spend all that much time with the boy, but of course, with her kind nature, she refused to not help the boy.
In the end, Kennedy and Gabrielle have given Milo the worlds best pep talk and even had Kennedy pretend to be upset with the boy's friends just to get them away. To say there were people very on edge with her around was a gigantic understatement.
With some further convincing Milo had asked the boy to the ball as his date successfully, though he had to make a promise to Sean about giving him the next day and a half to two days to inform his friends. It turned out he was still in the closet and had been indecisive until just then when he decided he wouldn't know his sexuality completely unless he tried.
Milo knowing the risks and rewards of this situation happily agreed and the two went on their marry ways, Kennedy of course asking the boy to politely apologize to his friends on her behalf and inform them that she wasn't mad with them even a little or in fact at all.
Outside of happily helping Gabrielle and Milo she had retreated to the Owlery where the boy's including Leighton and Benny claimed they were in desperate need of a females opinion on how they should do their hair and properly dress with the outfits they had bought.
