As per usual the long train ride was chaotic and crowded as per usual. Kennedy had to admit, she regret not tagging along with Maisie and Cedric but Kennedy knew that if she had left, both Fred and George would've followed her along with Lee trailing behind them. Then feeling left out, Alicia, Katie and Angelina would've eagerly followed.

So in a way, Maisie owed Kennedy for saving her from the noise filled group so she could read peacefully. Though she wasn't sure how much reading actually took place since when they unload the train carts she caught a glimpse of Cedric loudly chanting with his friends while Maisie chat happily amongst the group.

Seeing this made Kennedy smile inwardly since she knew Maisie had a rough time gaining friends especially of the female gender. Maisie had about ninety percent male friends and ten percent female friends which consist of Kennedy and the occasional Katie, Alicia and Angelina. Though Maisie had a grudge against Angelina for a reason Kennedy was unsure of.

As the group had managed to make it out of the cart they had just gotten off of in one piece, Kennedy had begun to look around in hopes of seeing someone she hadn't managed to send any letters to during the break. Out of the corner of her eye's she saw a head of dark blonde hair politely pushing his way through the crowd of eager first years that had include a certain Weasley girl who excitedly chat to a few other girls.

A smile appeared on Kennedy's face as she looked forward to see Leighton rushing toward Kennedy with a smile of his own on his face. Kennedy laughed as she ran toward him only to jump into his arms for a long awaited hug.

"It's been so long Kennedy! I can't believe I forgot to send you a letter! My parents have been so busy with work that I never got the chance to use th-"

"Oh hush, it's no big deal. How have you been?" Kennedy mumbled as she released the hug she had given the boy, only for him to place a hand on her mid back to lead her toward the carriages of the school where her group of friends awaited her with curious looks.

"Fantastic actually! I had the opportunity to train a bit with Ballycastle Bats with the beaters to learn a few moves. It'll be brilliant to crush some Slytherin toosh." Leighton comment as he happily smiled to Kennedy who smiled and shook her head.

"Toosh? Gosh how proper are you." She laughed out which made Leighton squint his eyes at her playfully.

"Well come live with my parents for 14 years and you tell me."

"Fair enough."

The two laughed along with one another once they made it up to the carriages only to not see her friends in front of a carriage anymore. In fact, the carriage they had stood in front of was being pulled away. Kennedy frowned every so slightly at this, though she was quickly tugged out of her frown when Leighton poked her side.

"What?" Kennedy asked with the corners of her mouth tilting upward ever so slightly.

"You can ride with me and my friends if you'd like. Much less crowded and less crazy." Leighton offered as he turned to the next carriage a few down.

"Do you think they'd mind?" She asked tentatively as he led her to where a few Ravenclaw boys stuck their heads out waving them over.

"I'm sure they're fine." Leighton laughed out as he offered her a hand to help her into the carriage which she happily took.

Upon entering a three boys smiled to her as she sat across from them when Leighton closed the carriage door just as they began to move forward.

"Boy's this is my friend Kennedy. She's in Gryffindor if you couldn't already tell." Leighton point out the red and yellow tie that sat along her neck which made her smile and wave.
