It's now been a few months since Kennedy was petrified and the world around her continued to spin. As she lay still in the same position with stone cold eyes that swirled with a shade of baby pink that protect her eyes from the air around her, deep in her subconscious she felt this immense feeling of loneliness.
She couldn't tell time nor could she generally even focus on a thought that came to her since she had been petrified. She hadn't even noticed that the world around her hadn't stopped though she knew to a degree that something was up.
Everything that had happened around her from touch to a the mere feeling of air sifting through her hair seemed like flashes of memories in a dream that came and go as she slept.
The warmth that had kept her consciousness alive and swimming seemed to disappear as soon as it had came. Without knowing time or understanding her situation in her mind her brain felt confused. She didn't know why she had been confused moments ago and soon enough all her thoughts drift away from her, leaving her in a drowning darkness and silence.
If only she knew the chaos that her friends had been experiencing since her departure. A lot has changed since Kennedy had been taken from the world around her.
More news came out about her father. He had been getting closer and closer to the school which set every professor on edge. They were unsure of the abilities he held, if any, and they were unsure of what his business was with the school outside of the fact that his daughter remained petrified within the borders of the school walls.
Fred and George had gotten injured during a quidditch game when George thought he had seen Kennedy in the stands which led to Angelina getting a bludger to the back. When Angelina had fallen off her broom Fred had flown below her and had gotten slammed off his broom from her falling form. George had attempt to fly down to check on his brother when a bludger crashed into his broom.
Maisie and Leighton had began to grow close ever since there traumatic experience back in the woods which seemed to drive a slight wedge between her and Cedric. They used to spend every day with one another and all of the sudden that time seemed to split in two since she spent a good portion of her time messing around with Leighton and his friends.
The students at school seemed to forget about the three kids who had been petrified. The curiosity eventually turned to dust which made Madam Pomfrey reopen the doors for the few students who hadn't forgotten about there friends.
Of course this result in many hour long visits from Fred and George. Sometimes Maisie would wonder into the hospital wing to make sure Kennedy was still breathing, but most of the time she seemed to have result in what everyone of her friends had:
Moving forward.
Soon enough Fred and George had began to spend less and less time in the hospital wing. Of course they didn't stop visiting her, they went at least once a day, sometimes twice if they really were desperate to see her.
Though they understood that they couldn't stop living because there closest friend had seemed to fall off the face of the earth. Eventually she would awaken from her frozen state and they would be able to return to how they were before.
But for the time being Fred and George had felt more alone then they had in a long time.
So to make up for the lost feeling they shared Fred decided to take George to meet someone that had been a rather close friend of Kennedy's since she had arrived in the wizarding world.
"Freddie where are we going? Don't get me wrong I do enjoy walking about in the forest but we usually do this with Kenny." George asked his brother as they trudged through a forest full of low branches and poky bushes.
