"I don't want to go in." Benny cried as he gripped a nearby pillar while Leighton and Kennedy tugged on his robes to try and pry him off.
"Benny- let go! I'm sure it won't be that bad!" Leighton argued back with a grunt as he pulled Benny by his waist.
"Liar! He's crazy! It's in his name!" The boy shout leaving Kennedy to sigh.
For the last ten minutes Leighton and Kennedy had been tugging relentlessly on Benny to try and get him to class on time, but of course they were slowly running out of time.
"Benny, please!" Kenedy whined as she dropped her grip on his legs. "I'd like to make it to class without sweat stain on my white button up."
"I give no consent! You can't force me!" Benny cried as he wrapped his now free legs around the pillar.
Kennedy face palmed while Leighton hissed as he pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
"Benjamin Ranae Trank. set your feet on this floor and walk yourself to the DADA classroom or I swear I will send a letter to your mother." Leighton said with a stern look on his face while on the other hand Benny's face was blistering red as Kennedy held back a snort.
"Your middle names Ranae?! Isn't that more so a female known middle name?" Kennedy asked while choking on the snorts she was trying to hold back so he didn't feel bad.
"I-it was my moms, moms name.. she wanted to name me after her so.." Benny trailed off awkwardly, but he did drop down from the pillar that Kennedy was surprised didn't have fingernail indents in it.
"Oh." Kennedy state feeling slightly bad. "Its.. a good middle name Benny. I like it!"
He gave her a small shy smile as he followed the two rather slowly down the hall.
"Come on big man, pick it up. We have like.. two minutes till we're late." Leighton said as he sped down the hall and around the corner where the DADA classroom await.
"He loves learning too much." Benny mumbled while Kennedy laughed as she bumped into his side playfully just as they were about to round the corner.
After another 30 seconds of walking and chatting the two managed to make it into the classroom with 45 seconds to spare, but the two didn't dally as they sat in there seats next to Lee and Milo who were now sat by Leighton.
Once they sat down the door to what they could assume was Mad-Eye's office burst open, revealing the disheveled man who looked around the room quickly with his wonky eye.
With his lopsided limp the man hobbled up to the front of the classroom where he said nothing as he scribbled messily onto chalk board in front of him.
"Alastor Moody." HE stated with his gruff and fearless voice. "Ministry malcontent. And your new defence against the dark arts teacher. I'm here because Dumbledore asked me, end of story, goodbye, the end. Any questions?"
Kennedy briefly looked to her left and right, not a single hand dared to even breach the air molecules that had even bounced off him.
"When it comes to the dark arts, I believe in a practical approach. But first, which of you can tell me how many unforgivable curses there are?" He asked as his wonky eyes traced over every students face, memorizing them with intent.
"Deadlock?" He hollered causing Kennedy to tense up slightly.
"Three sir."
"And they are so named?"
"Because they are unforgivable. The use of any one of them would-"
"Will earn you a one way ticket to Azkaban." He finished with emphasis on 'will'. "Correct. Now the ministry says you're too young to see what these curses do. I say different! You need to know what you're up against! You need to be prepared."
