There in front of Kennedy stood the one and only criminal who had been marked off as a dead man. Someone who had fallen into the vail and had been thought to be a spirit somewhere off in another world. Though there he stood, cleanly shaven, well dressed, and looking healthy as ever.

Her mouth was still agape and it had been for so long that her tongue had gone completely dry. She closed her mouth and swallowed to try and activate some sort of moisture to rise in her mouth as she shook her head slightly, squeezing her eyes shut.

"S-Sirius? I- how are you..?" Kennedy mumbled without being able to even put a proper word in.

"Alive?" Sirius said with an amused smirk causing Kennedy to nod her head briefly. "Well... that's a story I will tell in a couple moments, but for now come in, come in. Would you like some tea? I brought some over, I do hope you like lemon."

As the man carried on and walked further up the half broken stairs Kennedy stood flabbergasted at how easily the man just moved on from the elephant in the room kind of question. Nonetheless, she walked slowly up the stairs minding ever hole and half broken plank of wood, hoping heavily that he would skip the pleasure of having a catch up talk and just move on with the whole story he had waiting under his wing.

As she made her way up her already shocked face contort into one further when she saw the amount of nicely placed furnishing all around the room along with the lack of holes in the floor, though the ones on the wall had remained.

"What in the-" Kennedy trailed as she spun around to look at the nice couch, chairs, table and rug scattered about the room. They all had a theme of what Kennedy imagined royalty would have, or maybe she had been so poor all her life that casual furnishing seemed to look like it was worth a million bucks... either way, the room looked fabulous.

"Nothing a simple accio couldn't retrieve. That and a simple conjuring spell, but that's besides the point." Sirius hummed while walking towards her with a nice baby blue mug that had a dog pawprint on the side of it.

Kennedy, amongst her shock, let a small amused smile slip on her face as she eyed her mug that was nearly identical to his besides the color. Sirius caught her eye and looked stumped as he searched for an explanation, though instead he just forced a smile and sat on one of the couched near the coffee table while Kennedy chuckled and sat on the one across from him.

"So... you're clearly not dead." Kennedy laughed wearily as she took a careful sip of the tea she had, slightly making a face as lemon tea had never been her favorite.

Sirius laughed and set his mug down, crossing one of his legs over the other while intertwining his hands.

"That I am not. I'm sure you have plenty of questions..."

Kennedy waist no time in asking a question on her mind, one that immediately hit her when she saw him standing there.

"Does Harry know?"

By the look on the mans face Kennedy hadn't been able to tell if he were about to tell her good or bad news, maybe even both.

"Harry... knows. After everything settled down, I spoke to him how I had back during his third year. Through the fire place in Gryffindor common room." Sirius explained.

"I- Why go through... oh bloody hell, my minds all over the place." Kennedy grumbled while running her hands forcefully down her face, dragging her skin along with them.

"Why don't I start from that night in the Department Of Mystery's then, how does that sound?" The man briefly laughed as he spoke.

"Yeah I think that would be best." Kennedy smiled lightheartedly.
