Chapter 28 - Maisie's Interrupted Adventure

      Ever since Kennedy had been petrified alongside Hermione and Colin Creevey the entire school seemed to feel this dark looming cloud that hung over the school. You didn't have to be the brightest person in the school to sense this.

Everyone seemed to be passing in and out of the hospital wing every now and again to see the three kids who have seemed to become some sort of exhibit for them to stare at. It got to a point where some students began to poke and proud of the stone cold forms of these students.

In fact one of the days that Fred and George had gone to visit there beloved Kennedy they stumbled upon Marcus Flint who stood with his goons around Kennedy, pulling at her raggedy and torn clothes. Soon enough they began to mess with and attempt to bend her limbs around which only caused severe strain to her frozen tendons and muscles.

Red flooded the vision of these two usually joyful twins and they had just about gone to show the group a piece of there mind when gentle hands seemed to place themselves on there shoulders. Cedric, Lee, and Leighton had showed up to check on Kennedy as well and had seen the interaction.

Though of course these boy's didn't let Marcus and his posy get away with groping there friend. In fact they went up to the group and to lay some hands on them, but once more they had been stopped, this time by Madam Pomfrey and a few other nurses.

This ended up getting them all banned from the hospital wing until the students who had been petrified were brought back to there healthy and moveable forms.

Hearing this absolutely devastated the twins along with Cedric and Leighton. They couldn't even speak to there friend, let alone see her anymore.

Maisie, the girls, Benny, Milo and Gabrielle took this situation into there hands and made sure to visit around the clock to make sure Kennedy was never left alone outside of class hours.

There was only two other times that Kennedy had been messed with by a couple hufflepuffs who had it out for Cedric as well as a couple Ravenclaws and Gryffindor students who had for whatever reason took it upon themselves to team up and break into her dorm.

Thankfully there seemed to always be someone in her dorm whether that be Maisie herself, Angelina, Katie or Alicia. At that time it seemed to be both Alicia and Maisie who had been in there dorm so they ended up knocking a few teeth out as well as letting quite the fowl words slip past there teeth.

After this had happened the Professors voted that it would be best to cancel any outside contact for the protection of Kennedy, Colin and Hermione who seemed to have a growing amount of visitors as time continued on.

One night when most Gryffindor students were hanging about the common rooms McGonagall had showed up only to announce a curfew that had made a lot of students confused while others were angered.

"Could I have your attention please? Because of recent events, these new rules will be put into effect immediately. 'All students will return to their house common rooms by six oclock every evening. All students will be escorted to each lesson by a teacher. No exceptions.' I should tell you this, nless the culprit behind these attacks is caught, it is likely the school will be closed."

Once the women had left the students to converse about the new rule and why it had been placed, Harry and Ron seemed to be whispering amongst themselves which immediately made Maisie curious. Deciding to eves drop she crept her way up to the two.

"-we've got to talk to Hagrid, Ron. I can't believe it's him, but if he did set the monster loose last time, he'll know how to get inside the Chamber of Secrets, and that's a start." Harry whispered to Ron who only shook his head.
