Warmth was what Kennedy felt when she float back to her conscious self. The floor beneath her was warm and the sounds of mumbling filled her ears. Opening her eyes carefully Kennedy found herself on the floor of a large dimly lit room full of pillars holding fire.
Sitting herself upright Kennedy looked around her before she stretched her limbs ever so slightly. Kennedy felt like she had just gotten the worlds worst night of sleep, though she quickly began to remember where she had been before she woke just now.
She had originally been walking to find her friends when she ended up finding herself in the dungeons about to walk through the forbidden door when all of the sudden she went unconscious and now she was here.
Kennedy's heart began to beat rapidly as the thudding of footsteps echoed behind her. Flipping herself around she looked up to see Professor Quirrell looking down at her.
The man said nothing as he stared down to the her almost judging if he even wanted to waste his time on her or not. Kennedy looked straight in his eyes in attempts to not show her fear of the man who had seemed to make her feel so many terrible emotions.
One in particular that made Kennedy fear for herself was how this professor seemed to make her feel a sense of familiarity which terrified Kennedy. More so now that she knew the type of man he was.
"I see you've finally woken up. I think a proper introduction is in order." Quirrell state which made Kennedy scrunch her brows together. "You first."
Though Kennedy said nothing as she looked up to the man puzzled as to why she was needing to introduce herself to him when she was in his class all year.
"Professor you already know my name-"
"NO!" Professor screamed while he seemed to spaz slightly. "Your real name."
Kennedy looked to him blankly before she swallowed thickly.
"Kennedy Deadlock." She mumbled as she glanced to the floor.
Absent mindedly he twirled around to walk back toward a mirror that sat at the end of the room, not uttering a single word to Kennedy.
As if nothing had happened the man seemed to sink back into his thoughts while he mumbled back and forth, every once in awhile wincing when he would pause. Kennedy slowly stood up questioning if the man would spin around and spell her asleep once more.
Quickly Kennedy glanced towards the staircase that seemed to lead to a hall, though as if he knew what she was thinking about Quirrell twirled around to face Kennedy once more.
"I wouldn't do that. I'd kill you before you even set a foot on those steps." He mumbled harshly as spit flew from his mouth.
At this moment the only thing Kennedy could really focus on was the rapid pace of her heartbeat and the amount of adrenaline that surely flowed through her veins.
"Tell me something Ms. Deadlock... who is Kennedy Deadlock?" The professor finally mumbled out as he looked to her through the mirror that he seemed to look into.
"I'm not quite sure I understand." Kennedy state as she carefully pulled the sleeves of her white button up toward her elbows.
The professor closed his eyes before he bit his lips to try and hold back a snarky remark. He turned himself around before he quickly walked toward Kennedy, causing her to stumble back rather alarmed at the pace he was coming toward her at.
The professor gripped her shoulders pulling her close enough o him to where she could feel the his breaths graze her face. Kennedy held her head as far back as she could to avoid getting any closer to her professor face.
