Chapter 15

We were going to the movies today as a kind of date thing. We were in the car driving to the movies and ended up getting stuck in a bunch of traffic. Everyone was honking at each other and we were all completely stopped. I'm pretty sure a wreck happened.

"So what do you want to talk about" He asked

I looked at him confused.

"What" I asked

"I mean we're going to be stuck here for awhile" He said

"Right" I laughed

"So what's your family like" I asked

"Well my mom is amazing and I can't wait for you to meet her-" right when he said that I started getting nervous

I'm not got at the whole 'meet the parents thing'. I guess he noticed because I felt him put his hand on my thigh. He shook me out of my thoughts

"Hey it's okay" he said

I nodded to let him know to keep talking. He nodded back

"I have a lot of sisters, nieces, and nephews" he laughed

"I don't ride motorcycles because you see this scar right here" he said pointing to the little scar on his forehead

"That's why" he said

"What about you because when I told you about your father you kind of got mad" he asked

"Well when I was 5 thatcher left and started his new life with his new family" I said

"Oh I'm sorry" he said

"What about the famous Ellis Grey" he laughed

I smiled awkwardly knowing that I have to tell him

"She um" I said and stopped myself for a moment

He looked at me in my eyes.

"She has Alzheimer's and didn't want me to tell anyone" I sighed

"Oh Meredith" he sighed

"How advanced" he asked

"Very" I said tearing up

He wrapped his arms around my side and pulled me into him. The traffic started moving and I let go of him. We slowly made our way out of the traffic and finally made it 10 minutes before the movie started. We bought our tickets to Avengers Endgame. We bought some popcorn and a large drink. We walked into the movies and it was packed. We found a seat in the back. We sat down in the seats and the lights immediately dimmed. I was really craving popcorn right now. I stuck my hand in the popcorn and started eating it. We watched the movie and I finished the whole large popcorn in the first 10 minutes of the movie. The movie was good, it was pretty sad about iron man, but that was a nice way to go, saving people. We all got up and left. Derek held my hand and we walk out of the movies. We walked to the car hand in hand and he opened the door for me. I got in.

"Thanks" I said as he shut the door

He got into the drivers side.

"Are you hungry" he asked

"For salty things" I laughed

"French fries it is" he laughed

"You're really hungry little one, aren't you" he laughed as he put his hand on my stomach

He backed out of the parking lot and we started driving to five guys. I ordered carry out on the way and when we got there Derek got out. I was in his car and started snooping. I opened the glove box and found a little box of condoms. I took the box and looked at it. I looked inside and it was empty. This wasn't us because we rarely had sex in his car. I decided to put the box back with the empty wrappers inside. I shut the glove box and decided not to snoop because it'll make me think too much. Derek finally came back with the bags of burgers and fries. He handed me an Oreo milkshake that I was very much craving. I smiled at my food and drinks. I started drinking my drink and he laughed at me

"Do we have a problem" I laughed

"No. No problem" he laughed

We drove to my house and I got out. He got out with the food. I unlocked the front door and we walked in. The house was quiet. No one was here except us.

"Uhhh I'm starving" I said holding my stomach

He sat the bag on the kitchen counter and I dug in immediately. I grabbed the 2 large things of fries. I started eating them. Derek was in the fridge and didn't notice. I quickly ate my fries. He grabbed juice. I grabbed my burger out of the bag and took a huge bite. I felt like I was starving. He poured to glasses of fruit punch and put the juice in the fridge. He turned around and looked at me. He brought the two glasses and handed me one.

"Wow" he smiled

He put his hand in one of my fries and I quickly moved it away.

"Um no" I said.

"Um yes" he said

I got up with my fries in the cup and ran around eating them. He was chasing me. I was laughing so hard and started getting dizzy. I stopped for a second and he swooped me up. He held me in his arms.

"Got you" he laughed

I kept laughing and heard both of our pagers going off. He put my feet on the floor and we looked at each other confused. He went and grabbed our pagers.

"We- we have to go NOW" he said rushing out the door

I put the fries down and ran out the door. I hopped into his car and we quickly drove to the hospital. We ran in and went to Nick McDonalds room

"What happened" Derek asked grabbing the chart from a resident

"He had another stroke" the resident said

Interns were taking Mr. McDonald out in his rolling patient bed. I quickly went up to the supply closet and changed into light blue scrubs. I hid my clothes and walked out. I went to scrub in and Derek was already inside with his scrubs on. I started feeling nauseated. I was running too much and eating too much. I put my scrub cap and mask on. I scrubbed in and gowned up. I put my gloves on. I walked over to Derek and we were all here. Derek started cutting quickly. I tried suctioning the bleeding and shook a little.

"Dr. Grey do we have a problem" he said seriously looking in the brain

"This wasn't a good idea to get pregnant in my intern year" I winced in a whisper

"Suck it up. You need to help me finish" he whispered seriously

Oooo I could kill him right now. I don't even care.

"You're a bitch" I whispered

"You're kidding right" he said

"I'm doing you a favor" he whispered

"Dr. O'Malley scrub in for Dr. Grey she will be leaving the OR immediately" he said

George was in the gallery and I watched him stand up. I was so angry. George scrubbed in and I switched him. I handed him the suction and left the OR. I threw my gown and gloves away. I threw my mask off and left. I went to an on call room to try and cool myself down. This wasn't working. I needed to get all this built up tension off of me.

Y'all don't know how bad I wanted to put that alien spaceships came down when they were in traffic🙄🤚

But I've been doin school all day but today's my last day till spring break which is all next week hehehe😏🤪🤪 ima be postin a lotttttt
