We fell asleep in the supply closet. I woke up a little while later and Derek was still asleep. I was sobering up. I sat up and put Derek's head into my lap. He opened his eyes and looked up at me. He smiled and then quickly changed. He lifted up and grabbed a trash can. He quickly threw up in it. I rubbed his back. He finished and laid his head back into my chest. My boobs were pounding.
"Ooo Derek" I said wincing as I held his head up
"Sorry" he whispered
I kissed his forehead
"Let's go home" I said
He nodded. I got up and helped him.
"I'm not use to drinking tequila" he groaned
He grabbed my hand and walked us outside of the door. I quickly fixed my dress. We went to the main place and music started blasting. A bunch of people left.
"Oh hi Dr. Shepherd do you have a minute" a woman asked
He looked at me and looked back at her
"Um- yes just one minute" he said clearing his throat
We walked with her to the table.
"Okay so I have this research for my clinical trial and I need your opinion because you're one of the best neurosurgeons in the world" she said opening a folder
Derek sat next to her and I watched. He looked through the research
"This is incredible" he said
"Thanks" she said
"So it's Alzheimer's" she said
"Yes. I'm working so hard, but I want everything to be perfect" she said
He looked up at me and looked back down. He wiped his eyes and kept looking at the research.
"This is good" he said
"The cell data and the mixture of hydrogen. Incredible" he said
He looked through the cell data and neuro data
"Have you tried getting another person. I don't think anyone can do stuff like this themselves. I know that you don't want anyone else to help, but get an intern" he said
"Thanks" she said
"Could I give you my number. Not to pick you up because your wife is right here" she laughed
He laughed
"But I would like to get your opinions about more of my work" she said
"My wife and I are doing a trial right now, but I'll try to make meetings with you" he said grabbing his phone
He gave it to her and she put her number in. Derek texted her and got up.
"Thanks again Dr. Shepherd" he said
"Yeah no problem" he said walking over to me
He grabbed my arm and we walked outside. He put his jacket over me because it was cold
"I'm definitely sober" he smiled
"Me too" I shivered
We walked to the car and I drove us home. We walked inside and went straight to bed. I pumped and fell asleep. I woke up the next morning and took a shower. I got ready for the day and went to Derek. I sat on the edge of the bed and rubbed his back. Somehow he was naked. I covered him with the blanket.
"Mmmm" he groaned opening his eyes
He slowly sat up and held the blanket. He looked in it.
"I think I might've gotten hot" he said putting the blanket down
"The kids shouldn't come back today. I feel so sick and I just thought about last night. I might've gotten you sick" he said
I started smiling at him.
"It's okay" I smiled getting up.
I kissed his forehead and left the room. I went downstairs and made some coffee and pancakes. I went upstairs and back into the bedroom. I gave Derek a plate and cup.
"Thanks" he smiled
He started eating. I laid next to him and started eating. I finished and put my plate and cup onto the nightstand. Derek started getting a phone call.
"Hello" he asked answering it
"Oh yeah of course" he said looking at me
"Could you hold on about a couple hours" he asked
"Okay thank you" he said hanging his phone up
"Who was that" I asked
"I- I got a promotion" he smiled
"You're already the chief of the hospital" i smiled
"I know, but they want me to do everything" he smiled
"What" I asked
"I have to work more hours, but it's going to be amazing. I can work with the top of the top. Everyone's going to want to come to this hospital" he smiled
"So you won't have time for me or your kids" I asked
"I will make time for you. For us all of us" he smiled
"It's so good. I can't wait to move my career forward and I can promote you know. Chief of General" he smiled
"Really. I'm not even an attending" I said
"I know, but you're amazing at your job. I'm promoting Bailey to Chief of Chiefs" he smiled
"So I'm taking her job and she's moving up" I smiled
"Yep" he smiled
"Alright" I laughed
He texted Bailey and looked at me.
"This is going to be really fun. Nova started pre school soon with her sisters and wow" he smiled
"Aw don't remind me" I said
"True. I'm going to miss her and the twins" he said
"Me too" I said
"I have to go to a meeting to make it official tonight" he said
"Aren't you sick" I said
"I'm not going to cough on anyone Meredith" he said
"Whatever. I'm the new chief of General" I smiled
"Oooo that's so sexy" he smiled crawling on top of me
"Mmm" I moaned
He attacked my lips and put his hands down my pants. He thrusted two fingers inside of me and I moaned into his mouth as his tongue went down my throat. He thrusted harder and started getting a phone call.
"Shut up" he moaned ending the call
They called again and he pulled out of me
"Damn it" he whispered
He answered his phone
"What" he said
He sat up and smiled at me
"What. That's great news" he said
"Yeah okay. I'll be right there" he said getting off the bed
He ended the call and started getting dressed.
"What happened" I asked
"I can get my cast taken off" he said
"Oooo Athena's going to be jealous" I smiled
"I love that little girl" he smiled tucking his shirt into his pants
"Come on let's go. What are you waiting for?" He smiled
"I love you" I laughed
