Chapter 99

Nova, Gracie, and I went to the park while Derek was on his meeting call. I sat on a bench that was under a tree which brought shade in. I put a blanket over Gracie's carrier. Nova was playing on the playground with the friends that she just met. Derek texted me that he was done and to come back whenever I wanted to. I waited about 30 minutes and went to get Nova. I swing her for a little bit and took her and Gracie back to the car. I put them into the back seat and buckled them. I went to the drivers seat of my Range Rover and drove them home. I parked and Nova got up of the car. She ran to the door. I grabbed Gracie and went to the front door.

"Dada" nova kept saying

I opened the door and she ran in. Derek was on the couch drinking wine. He sat his cup down and nova ran to him.

"Dada" she yelled

"Nova" he smiled holding his hands out

He hugged her and sat her into his nap. He looked up at me

"Did you have fun with mommy at the park" he asked tickling her

"Ahhh daddy" she laughed trying to hit his hand away

"I'll take that as a yes then" he smiled stopping tickling her

Those two were so perfect. I brought Gracie upstairs and fed her, soon after I put her down for her nap. I went back downstairs. Nova was playing with her toys on the couch next to Derek. He kissed her head and got up. He walked over to me.

"We have to leave in a couple minutes. Are you sure that you're going to be okay being alone" he asked

"Yes. I'm fine" I said

"Okay" he nodded

He kissed my lips and went back over to the couch.

1 hour later

Derek and Nova left to watch a USWNT game. I went upstairs and started cleaning a little bit.

4 hours later

I took a little break and started cleaning the downstairs. I put dirty dishes into the dishwasher. He came home and I looked at him. I looked down at nova and she was wearing a red and blue USWNT jersey. She came over to me

"Mommmy" she said turning around

There was a number on her back. I bent down a little bit and moved her hair.

"Oooo number 10, Carli Lloyd is really good. Did you get to watch her" I asked

"Ywesss" she cheered

"Good for you" I smiled hugging her

I picked her up and sat her on the counter.

"Dada" she said

I turned around and looked at him.

"Oh right" he smiled holding up a bag

"I got a Crystal Dunn jersey and I got you a Alex Morgan jersey" he smiled

I started smiling. I looked back at nova and put my hands on her thighs.

"Why don't you go upstairs and get ready for bed. Daddy and I will be up in a minute" I said

She nodded. I picked her up and sat her on the ground. She ran upstairs. I went to the dishwasher and looked at him.

"I missed you" he said

He looked so hot in his suit and tie

"Me too" I said starting the dishwasher

"Have you eaten anything" he asked
