Chapter 119

We went to dinner. After dinner, we went to our rooms. The girls wanted to stay with Lexie because they loved Layton so much. He's their other little brother. It's so cute. Derek went to the gym again. I changed into my pajamas. I went to Lexie's room with the triplets. Mark was drinking a beer. We were all talking about work. It was 7pm.

"Lex have you seen Amelia" I asked

"I think she's with her mom" she said

I quickly got up and left the room. I went to Amelia's room. They were yelling at each other. Lexie came out of her room

"What happened" she asked

Mark came next to her

"They don't really like each other" he whispered

We listened to them fighting

"That's why you weren't ever a mother to me. The good ones always die" Amelia spat

My jaw dropped. Derek was walking down the hall

"What going on" he asked

"Shhh" we all said

He walked over to us and heard them yelling. He grabbed Amelia's key card and quickly opened the door. We tried to hide. Derek walked in.

"Amy calm down" he said

He shouldn't have said that

"Derek get out. This isn't about you" she said

"I'm leaving" Carolyn said

"Go. Go" I said

Mark, Lexie, and I quickly ran inside of their room. Carolyn walked out and left. We opened the door and looked at Amelia and Derek. Derek was hugging her. She was crying into his arms.

"Could the kids sleep in your room tonight" I asked

"Yes. Of course" Lexie said

I nodded. I said goodnight to the kids and went into my room. I pumped and waited for Derek. He finally came back in and went to the bathroom. He shut the door and I heard the shower turn on. I laid on the bed. After a couple of minutes, Derek came back out. He took his towel off and put his boxers on. He left the room and i got up. I went to the living room. He turned around and looked at me.

"Henry just called me" he said

"My ex" I asked

"Yeah" he said

"What did he want" I asked

"He wanted to thank me for all of this" he said

"I don't know, all I know is that I'm glad you're here with me" he said

I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed some wine. I poured 2 glasses. I handed 1 to Derek. We drank for a little bit. I pumped and threw the milk away.

"Do you want to get snacks" I asked

"Yeah" he smiled

He went back into the bedroom and put a t shirt on.

"Is that what you're wearing" I laughed

"Yes" he smiled

"It's easy access for when we come back" he said

"Wow" I said

He grabbed my hand and we left the room. We ran down the hall and went to the elevator. We went down to the lobby and went over to the snack bar. We grabbed a bunch of candy, chips, and drinks. We ran upstairs and ran to our room. I turned around and my back was against the door. We came down from our laughs.
