Chapter 46

Derek and I ran out. We called a code. All the doors were locked immediately.

"Meredith stay in here" Derek said opening an on call room

"Not with out you. We are either out or in this together" I said

"Please keep nova safe" he said

"I'm going to" I said

We started hearing more screaming. Nova started crying. I went into the on call room and Derek went to check the screaming noise out.

"Shhh" I said rubbing novas back as I held her

Derek finally came back in and shut the door.

"Another nurse is dead" he said

"This is crazy" I said handing Nova to Derek

He held her and finally got her to stop crying. He held her in front of him and started kissing her face. She was giggling. He handed her to me.

"Stay with her I-" he said and the lights started flickering

We had a loud noise. The lights went out. I grabbed my phone and turned the flash light on it on. I was looking at Derek. He turned his phone light on.

"Don't move. I'll be back in a minute" he said leaning down and kissing my lips.

He left the room. I locked the door behind him. I went to the bed behind me and tucked nova in. I rubbed her back until she fell asleep.

"Meredith" someone said at the door

I walked over

"Who is it" I asked

"Lexie" she said

I unlocked the door. She walked in with her flashlight. I shut the door and locked it.

"Are you guys alright. Derek said you were in here" she said

"Yeah Nova's sleeping" I said pointing to the bed

"Okay" she said sitting on the edge of the bed

"I'm going to find Derek. Stay with her" I said unlocking the door

Before she could say anything, I locked the door from the inside and left the room. Everything was quiet. I walked down the hall with my light. I went into a room and saw 2 more nurses dead. I heard screaming and ran far down the hall. I went to the room. The killer was on top of him stabbing him. I was about to puke. I turned my light off and head behind the door. I couldn't do anything. His cries finally stopped. The killer ran out and went to another place. I walked into the room where he just stabbed someone. The guy was dead. I left and went to another place on the opposite side of where the killer went. I finally found a room that was open. I walked in and heard something

"Mer is that you" he said out of breath

"Yes" I said shining the light

I looked at him and he was covered in blood sitting on top of someone. I looked and saw Owen bleeding out.

"I couldn't save him" he cried

"Derek let's go" I said

He got up and tried to wipe his tears with his arm. The wrap on his hand was bloody. We walked out of the room and went to another one with medical supplies. We walked in and I cleaned Owens blood off of Dereks hands. I took the wrap off his hand and cleaned his stitched up knuckles. I grabbed more white medical tape and wrapped his hand. We kept hearing a lot of screaming and crying. The killer was close. I shut the door.
