Song: What Do They Know?
By: Mindless Self Indulgence
(Y/n)'s POV
After a few minutes of speeding down a busy highway, Ash turned off onto a smaller more isolated road. I didn't dare question him, he seemed to know where to go. We ended up in an abandoned warehouse looking place. Ash quickly got off the bike, throwing his helmet at me. I rolled my eyes, resting the protective gear on the handle bars of the bike and getting off myself. The sky had now faded to a deep blue colour, only broken by the moon and stars. I jogged silently to catch up with Ash. He glanced at me with a disapproving look but didn't say anything. The windows of the buildings that surrounded us had been smashed, shattered glass lay on the ground under our feet.
"I know you're here, Arthur." Ash said loudly, not a shout but loud enough for the named man to hear. "Show yourself." He demanded, hands in the pockets of his jeans. I immediately tensed when a shadow from behind a crumbling pillar moved. A man with large blond hair emerged from said shadow, making me instinctively grip the knife in the back of my waistband. Ash glanced over at me and whispered, "Don't use a knife in a potential gun fight." His attention then returned back to Arthur.
"Wassup Boss." Arthur spoke with irritable confidence. "You know its a trap, right? Why'd you come?" He completely ignored my presence, most likely deeming me as 'non threatening', so I played along. "I knew I'd have to settle it with you sooner or later." Ash said calmly, looking straight at Arthur but still well aware that I had slowly shuffled behind him. He was smart enough to know what I was doing. Which was making myself appear weak and afraid, allowing for an easier surprise attack later on.
"Where's Skip?"
"I hate to break it to you, but its no longer just about us anymore." Arthur smirked as an old garage door covered in graffiti lifted to reveal Skip and the Japanese boy, who I was yet to learn the name of. "Ash!" Skip immediately called out to his leader, his hands tied with rope in front of him. "Welcome, Ash Lynx." An older man said from behind Skipper. Ash gasped slightly and grimaced, his face twisting with annoyance. "So that's what's up. That's low even for you, being tamed like the old mans dog." Ash spat, glaring dangerously at Arthur.
"You're always too soft. Drop the gun." Arthur sneered, pushing his broad shoulder back a little with confidence. "Don't, they'll kill you!" Skip warned with a worried expression. But the young boy trusted Ash. He trusted that his leader would get him out safely. "Let them go." Ash ordered, not breaking his death stare. "Ash, who's this boy? I heard Skip stood up for him." Arthur looked over the fearful Japanese boy. "Keep you hands off Ei-Chan!" Skip attempted to warn Arthur before being dragged away by another man.
"Kill him." Arthur said, looking 'Ei-Chan' directly in the eye as a man put a hand gun barrel right up to his temple. "Hold it. You and your ways disgust me." Ash sighed and tossed his gun towards Arthur. "What are you doing?" I whispered from behind him, basically breathing down his neck as I watched over his shoulder. Ash didn't respond, just continued staring at Arthur. "What an admirable boss, looking out for his boys." Arthur chuckled, stepping closer. He took one more step before swinging his right fist directly at Ash's jaw, knocking him backwards. "Time to pay you back for my fingers." Arthur growled as Ash landed onto of me unconscious. Not wanting to actually get knocked out cold, I pretended to have hit my head as Ash fell on me, giving the illusion that I was unconscious. Clearly, it wasn't good enough as someone landed a perfect blow on my jaw too, knocking me out.
When I next woke up, I found myself in a darkened room by myself. There were some wooden crates and a high up window. I could also hear voices from outside the door, so I crept closer so I could listen. "You know it's no use disobeying Papa Dino." Some unfamiliar and somewhat vulgar voice echoed. "What did that man give you?" I didn't know who he was talking too, but I did hear someone spit and the man groan in annoyance. "I don't know what you're after, but if you want him to talk cut off their ears." The familiar voice of Arthur sighed.
"He's made a fool of me all this time. Let me enjoy this a little bit." The deep voice said again, followed by the sound of someone unbuckling a belt. "Oh my, oh my. Is somebody getting a little horny?" Ash? Yes that was definitely Ash. Was he trying to aggravate whoever else was with him? "Don't you cry now, Ash!" That man yelled, closely followed by a sharp whipping sound. The unmistakable sound of leather striking skin echoed around the warehouse, making me cringe. I could hear Ash's grunts and groans of pain, but he didn't once cry out in pain or fear. He didn't beg them to stop, not that I expected someone as outwardly strong as Ash to do as such.
Some doors whined open, their bases dragging along the concrete floors creating a horrendous noise and slamming shut. Soon it was my turn. Someone on the other side yanked open the seemingly light steel door, sliding one apart from the other. "Get up." Some old guy told me, but I was already up and walking calmly out of the room. My hands were tied securely behind my back and my knife hadn't been confiscated, although they would probably take it if they found out.
"Little leopard, drop the blade." Arthur smirked from where he was sat. I returned his sadistic smile, skidding the knife along the floor towards him. "So, tell me. What exactly do you plan on doing to me?" I maintained my sweet smile, twisting my wrists to free myself from the rope. When the twisting didn't work, I started to get annoyed. I used one hand to press down on my right hands thumb, dislocating it and enabling me to slip free from the bounds. I popped my thumb back in place and stared at the old man, sitting down and resting on one arm. "Not feeling so talkative?"
I was replied to by a sharp sensation of leather cutting into the skin on my cheek. My smile simply grew as I stared at the man with the black strip of leather. "Aww come on~ I know you can do better than that! Or is it that you wish not to hurt a weak, feeble woman like me?" I laughed, much to the Arthur and the oldies annoyance. "Look. If you want to deal some real damage, which will be difficult with me, use this end of the belt." I sighed, standing up and swapping the belt around in the mans hand. "Why will it be difficult, little leopard?" Arthur growled from behind me. I turned around with a sadistic smirk on my face. "Arthur, Arthur, Arthur! You should know about the assassin 'training' I underwent! Unless, of course, you are useless and didn't do your research?" Arthur glared at me, annoyed.
"Ah, I see~ you didn't do your homework. Tut tut. Honestly, you should know better." I sighed, pretending to be a disappointed teacher. "To hell with you, you sick bitch."
"Oh! But I've already been through hell, and survived. And I know I'm a sick bitch, what about it?" At this point, Arthur had clearly had enough. He grabbed my knife from the floor. "Hold her down." He ordered his men, who obeyed him and held me down to the floor. "Well, this is kinda kink-" Arthur cut me off my dragging my knife down the left side of my face. Blood flowed from the new wound. He sliced through my skin from just above my eyebrow till the knife was in line with my lips. I squirmed desperately against the three men holding me in place, growling in pain. Arthur had kindly avoided my eye, although the blood that dripped into it made it impossible to see. I groaned loudly with discomfort, starting to panic as the men around me just laughed. Not being able to see properly was one of the things that terrified me, and the continuous stream of blood into my eye was definitely restricting my vision.
"Put her in with the others. Bye bye little leopard. I hope to see you soon." Arthur smirked as I was yanked upwards my two men I couldn't be bothered to observe. Metal doors were slid open and I was thrown roughly inside a cool room. "(Y/n)!" I heard skip say, I smiled weakly in his general direction to show I was still alive. When the door closed, Ash came to my side. "Those bastards." He growled under his breath. "Eiji, can I use some of your shirt? It rips easier than mine." The Japanese boy, who I now know name was Eiji, ripped more off his shirt and passed it to Ash without questioning the blonde boy. I sat before Ash, wincing slightly as his fingers worked to carefully wrap my bloodied face with a stip of T-Shirt fabric. I wanted to cry, but couldn't. I wouldn't allow the men outside to hear me cry. I wouldn't give them that satisfaction.
