Song: Cupid's Chokehold
By: Gym Class Heroes
(Y/n) POV
Ash allowed me to slip under his arm. He glanced down at me as I wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him from the side. Nothing was said to me, so I took the chance to nestle into Ash. If you think about it, It's quite weird that its only older men that stress me out. I'm fine with teenagers, young adults and kids, as they have never done anything wrong to me. Only older men have.
"Can I look in this computer?" Ash asked, stepping forwards and taking me with him. "Sure, but you need a password." The man with hip-length black hair said, closely watching Ash's movements. Ash gently released his arm from me and sat down in the chair. "I'll figure it out." He said confidently, turning the desktop on. "You can do that?" I wonder out loud, leaning over the back of the chair. Ash simply shrugged, settling down for what could take a while.
Shorter and Eiji also wandered over, peering at what Ash was doing out of curiosity. When Yau-Si left the room to eat the food the kind-looking old lady had prepared for him, Ash leaning into Shorter. "Can you look him up?" He asked quietly. "Something wrong?" Shorter replied with a nod. "I don't know. Just that he's too quiet."
After that, everyone left the library except me and Ash. "(Y/n)." He beckoned me closer. I did as he asked, walking closer while swinging my arms aimlessly. "Sit here." He smirked, spreading his legs and patting the space between his thighs. "A-are you sure?" I asked nervously, rocking forwards and back on my heels. "Yes, I'm sure. Unless you don't want to?"
"N-no! Its not that I don't want to..." I mumbled, stepping in front of the chair and carefully lowering myself into the space provided. At first, my whole body was tense but I slowly relaxed, laying the back of my head on Ash's shoulder.
The room was dark, only a single lamp and the computer screen kept the shadows at bay. I could feel Ash's chest rise and fall against my back, a sensation I had come to love. My stomach was pressed up against the desk, not in an uncomfortable way, but it was there. His arms were on either side of me, yet I didn't feel trapped. Far from it, actually. A sense of security had washed over me, along with a wave of tiredness. I yawned, trying desperately to keep my eyes on the computer screen. "It's okay, you can sleep." Ash said, not averting his gaze from the screen as he typed. "Hm." I hummed, tilting my head to the side and quickly falling asleep.
Ash POV
Minuets after (Y/n) fell asleep, that Yau-Si guy came in. I spun around in the chair, holding the sleeping girl close so that she didn't slip off. "I'm sorry, did I surprise you?" He asked, looking at me innocently and holding a tray. "I don't like being approached from behind." I replied, watching closely as he walked towards me and (Y/n). "I grew up in a tough neighbourhood." It wasn't a lie.
"Oh, I apologise. Is she asleep?" The idiot asked, nodding towards the now awake (Y/n). "Well, she was." I sighed, running my hand through her hair and scowling at the boy before me. "U-um... have some jasmine tea. It's relaxing." He claimed, placing two cups of pale green liquid on the table. (Y/n) blinked at the tea, looking at me with an annoyed face, slowly standing up. "You don't make any sound when you walk." She mused, looking at the tea but not picking any up. "What do you mean?" The guy said, looking slightly taken aback. "I meant what I said." She replied, leaning over the back of my chair. Her hands twirled in my hair, something I wasn't fond of but allowed her to do.
"We Chinese are brought up to move quietly." Yau-Si replied calmly. "Is that how it is? Not Shorter though." I chuckled, leaning back in the chair as (Y/n) mindlessly played with my hair. "You got in?" The black haired guy asked, quickly changing the subject. "I have a cracking software. Passwords mean nothing if you boot with this." I smirked, tossing the piece of equipment into the air and easily catching it. "That's incredible. So, did you find anything?"
"I'm decrypting and encrypted drive right now. I wish I had a faster GPU." I sighed as (Y/n)'s hands came away from my hair. Instead, they lay over my shoulders and wrapped loosely around my neck. I softly patted them with one hand.
"Can I watch?"
"Sure. It's your home."
(Y/n)'s head perked up when she heard Eiji enter. "Eiji." She hummed, lowering he head back to where it was before. "Oi, Eiji. Come watch this." I smiled proudly as the Japanese boy walked over. "Did it work?" He asked curiously, wrapping an arm around (Y/n)'s shoulders. "Just watch." Lines of code flashed down the screen, showing that it had worked. "See?" I smirked, turning and resting my head against (Y/n)'s. A pair of lips came into contact with my cheek briefly, making me smile. "You're amazing." She smiled, burying her face in my neck. Eiji raised his hand for a high five, which I returned. "I lmowvmv ywmomwu." (Y/n) mumbled subconsciously. "What?" I chuckled, not hearing what she said. (Y/n) pulled her head away from my neck.
"Nothing." She muttered, stretching and yawning dramatically.
