Song: Silly Girl
By: Chloe Moriond
(Y/n)'s POV
I watched helplessly as Ash turned and ran. I didn't know why he left, but that didn't matter right now. My body was shaking uncontrolably, sweat creating a shiny coat on my skin. My heartbeat was in my ears, blocking out all external noises. "Oi, get Eiji!" I heard Cains muffled voice shout as he gently guided me to sit down. He was talking to me, but I couldn't hear a word. The panic I was in, sent my mind spiraling into an even deeper panic.
Soon enough, Cain's silhouette was replaced by Eiji's. He was calm, talking gently and breathing slowly, encouraging me to breathe with him. He just stayed there, unwavering as he slowly but surely calmed me down. "E-Eiji..." I whimpered softly, bringing him into a tight hug. He quickly returned it, rubbing small circles on my back. "(Y/n), let's get you inside." Eiji suggested, pulling away and helping me to my feet. I simply nodded, accepting his hand ans keeping a hold of it until we were inside. On the way in, I spotted Cain sat with a few of his guys. He stood up the moment he saw me, walking over and asking if I was okay. I smiled reasurngly at him, appologising for the trouble.
When Ash did finally get back, Eiji was furious. To say he went all out on Ash, would be an understatment. The Japanese boy was shouting at Ash for well over ten minutes, easily catching everyones attention. I just sat on my bed in the next room as I listened, chuckling slightly at certain points. Especially when I heard Eiji yell, "YOU, ASH LYNX, ARE NOT SLEEPING ANYWHERE NEAR HER TONIGHT. YOU'RE GONNA STAY IN THIS ROOM." To which Ash repsonded with, "Right, and how are you going to stop me?"
After that, Ash walked into the room I was in and sat down at the end of our bed. "I'm sorry for leaving you, I had no idea and Max was in danger so..."
"It's okay, really. I understand why you left." I smiled at him, crawling over and resting my head in his lap. "So you're not banishing me to the other room?" He chuckled, playing softly with my hair. "That's not what I want, but Eiji... now Eiji is a whole other story." I sighed, closing my eyes after suddenly realising just how tired I was. "He can be very dangerous. Have you seen Eiji with a slipper in is hand? That's the stuff of nightmares." Ash faked a shudder. He carefully moved us up the bed before laying himself down, letting me curl up next to him. We just stayed there for a bit, comfortable and warm. That was until Eiji came storming into the room. "Oh, I think the hell not. Out!" His voiced had lowered from a shout, but the entire appartment could still hear him. Eiji strode over to where me and Ash were laying, and started yanking Ash to get up.
"Eiji!" Ash hissed quietly, holding my head really close to his chest. "(Y/n)'s alseep! You're going to wake her!" Eiji muttered something about Ash being a 'sneaky little rat' before walking out the room, leaving me in the arms of a very smug Ash. I pulled away and slapped his arm gently. "He's never gonna forgive you, you know that right?" I muttered with a chuckled, snuggling back into Ash's warmth. "Oh well." He sighed, kissing the top of my head. "Goodnight, (Y/n)."
"Goodnight my troublesome Aslan."
The next morning, Ash left after sending out Kong and Bones to fetch Jessica. He followed them because he knew she wouldn't trust the pair, even if they said they were with him. So, while I waited for him to return, I started playing card games with with Eiji and Cain, but a few others joined in shortly after. We weren't gambleing or anything. The games were simple ones like 'Go Fish' and I was in the middle of explaining 'Cheat'.
"So you can lie about what cards you put down?" Eiji asked while Cain shuffled the cards expertly. "Yup! This game is all about deception. You can lie, saying you put down a Queen, when you really placed down a Two of Spades or something. You can put down as many cards as you like, but I wouldn't recomend doing any number over four, because you can only claim to place one kind of card down at a time." When I had finished talking, Cain started dealing out the cards. "I think I've played this before, but by a different name."
"Probably. It goes by a load of different names like 'Bullshit' or 'I doubt it'." Everyone picked up their cards once the whole deck had been dealt. "Left of the dealer goes first, so that you Eiji."
But before we could even start playing, Jessica came bursting through the doors with Kong and Bones close behind, Ash standing out in the hallway. "I knew you'd come, you stubbon woman." Max muttered with a sigh. "Hiya (Y/n), hiya Eiji!" She smiled sweetly at us before turning to Max, who attempted to hide behind his hand of cards. "Of course. Did you think I'd calmly let somebody guard me out of the blue?" She snapped at Max, both hands resting securely on her hips. I placed my cards down on the table and stood up, not wanting to get in the way of Max and Jessica's argument.
I walked over to Ash with a sigh, rolling my eyes as the pair started verbally fighting where the were. "Geez, will they shut up already? I'm never getting married." Ash groaned, covering his ears with his hands to block out the noise. I copied him, agreeing to never get married. "Me neither. Or at least not get divorced." Ash sighed in agreement, slowly shuffleing out the room and into the kitchen.
