(Y/n)'s POV

"I'll be right back." I muttered, standing up from the floor and walking outside.  Shorter didn't question my actions, he actually looked asleep and I wasn't going to disturbed him. Once I was outside, I fished the caseless phone I kept in my pocket. After unlocking it, I went to call someone but was interrupted by a tapping on my shoulder. I spun around to see Eiji, a worried expression across his features. "(Y/n)! Where have you been? We were so worried!" He pinched my arm as if to punish me, but he was too gentle and kind to do anything too harsh. "Sorry." I muttered, scuffing my shoes against the floor. "It's okay. I'm gad you are safe. Give me a second, I'm just going to call Ibe-san." Eiji turned away as he brought his phone to his ear. As he talked, I lent against a nearby wall and watching the passer-by's. I was mainly looking for anyone suspicious, not that I'd find any. Everyone passing by was just getting on with their business, not even looking in our direction.

Eiji spent about three minuets on the phone, telling Ibe where we were. We waited not long after that, mostly in silence. "Ibe-san~" I called when I notice his head above the others, glancing around worriedly. "(Y/n)! Where have you been? Do you know how worried we were?"
"Yeah yeah, whatever. I'm not a little kid, y'know? I can look after myself." I hummed, turning away and walking back towards Dr. Meredith's place. I looked back over my shoulder at Eiji and Ibe, who were just stood there. "Are you coming? If not, I'll go without you." The pair suddenly appeared at my side. I smiled at them before walking ahead.

When we got to the makeshift hospital, I led them to the room where Griff was laying on a bed. "Hey, I'm back." I said, placing a hand on Shorter's shoulder as he stared at Griff. Shorter grunted a 'hello', his eyes never leaving the unconscious man. "Who's he?" Ibe asked, his own gaze falling onto Griff. I sighed and looked up and him. "Ash's older brother." Both Eiji and Ibe looked between me and Ash's brother with a mix of shock and surprise. "What?" The younger of the two men muttered, not looking me in the eye. "Arthurs men shot him." Shorter chipped in, his voice dripping with anger. "But we can't take him to a hospital or the mafia will find him." I sighed, rubbing my temples. "Mafia?" Ibe asked again, his face looking even more shocked than before. "We found out what Banana Fish is. The thing Charlie told us about." I rocked forwards then back on my heels and sighed. "Tell them what you told us, Doc. I'm going to get some (favourite street food)." I sighed as my stomach growled a little.

When I walked outside into Chinatown, I then turned to leave the street. "Finally." I groaned, finding a fast food stall that sold my favourite street food. I got into the queue and waited for my turn. When I finally had my food, I found a bench and sat down to eat. "They should be finished talking now." I had already been told about all the rat experiments and B1, or Banana Fish, and I did not need to hear it again.

By the time I had thrown away my fast food box and made it back to Chinatown, Ibe and Eiji were walking out. "Eiji~!" I called out. He turned around and waved. I jogged up to them, slinging an arm around his shoulders. Ibe just looked at us as if something was going on between us. "Don't get the wrong idea, old man. I'd rather date a gang leader."
"Ooh, (Y/n)! Do you like Ash?" Eiji chuckled, shaking my arm gently. "So what if I did? I don't, but what if I did!" I snapped back defensively, retracting my arm from Eiji's shoulders. "I think you'd look good together. (Y/n), he did kiss you." Now, that was for a reason. Ash did not do it for feelings, but to ask me to do something. "Yes, he did. But... its hard to explain that." Ash had asked me not to tell anyone, weather that included Eiji and Ibe? I didn't know, but its probably best not to risk it.

Eiji nudged my side. "Hey, I was kidding." He smiled. "Unless..." He smirked, poking my side again with a chuckle. "Oi! Lay off me!" I crossed my arms over my chest, walking ahead of the two men with a sigh and a slight tint on my cheeks.
