(Y/n)'s POV

Delicate slithers of sunlight glided through the gaps in the bedroom curtains, drawing lines of gold across the floor. A mess of sandy coloured hair was splayed across the pillow next to my head, and a gentle snoring could be heard through the wall as the fan lazily spun overhead. The clock on my bedside table displayed the blurred numbers '5:57am'.

I carefully sat myself up in the bed, covers slipping off my shoulders as I did. Cold air pinched the damp sweat as my breathing slowed. Fingertips tenderly brushed across my throat. There was no wound, or bandage, nothing. Yet, I could still see and feel the lost blood on my hands. I shook my head, as if to shake the image from my thoughts and ventured to the kitchen. I wrapped a dressing gown around myself, the icy air making me shiver.

Sing lay fast asleep on the sofa, his arm hung off the side as he slept peacefully. A blue party hat was strapped to his head. I stopped for a moment. There were no fresh marks on his knuckles, no sign of a fight. Nothing had happened. Shorter was passed out on the kitchen island, solo cups surrounding him like confetti, half drank bottles of various liquors in the sink by his head. I made a b-line for one of those bottles, picking it up with shaking hands and pouring a shot of whatever I happened to pick up. Without thinking it through properly, I drank the shot and poured another, grimacing at the burning sensation.

Three shots later, Shorter stirred from his nap. "Oh, hey..." He slurred sleepily, arm laying over his head as he slowly sat up. "What time is it?" He glanced slowly around the room, mumbling something about cleaning it up. "6 O'clock."
"In the evening? Did I sleep for a whole day?"
"No, six in the morning."
"Isn't it a bit early for shots?" I glared at him, tipping back one more before slamming the bottle down. "Oi! What the hell? I feel like my heads about to explode right now, for fucks sake (Y/n)."

"Sorry." I sighed, raking a hand through my hair, teasing out a few knots on the way. "It's been a long night."
"Oh~?" Shorter smirked, wiggling his eyebrows playfully. "Not like that you idiot." Sighing, I sat down on one of the bar stools by the island.

The entirely of what I thought happened last night, didn't.  There was no fight, Ash didn't do anything. Everything was fine.

"The hell's wrong with you?" Shorter asked, slowly sitting up. He rubbed the sides of his head with his hand, his face held a look of pain mixed with genuine concern. "Was there a fight between me, Sing and Ash last night?" As I spoke, the words felt like lead coming from my mouth. It seemed to take hours for Shorter to respond, but when he did I didn't know if to laugh or cry. The man in front of me shook his head no, "Honestly, I was pretty drunk.. but I tend to remember when a fight breaks out." he added, reaching a hand over to my shoulder. "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, just a bad dream."
"You wanna talk bout it?"

I spent the next hour explaining to Shorter exactly what I thought happened. He sat there, listened and didn't treat me as if I was crazy, which is exactly what I needed him to do. Once I had finished explaining, tears were trickling steadily and Shorter just hugged me. It was round about then when Sing woke up, yawning and stretching loudly on the sofa. He tugged the party hat off his head, placing it on the table before wandering over to us.

"What are you two doing up already?" He asked, already shoulder deep in the cupboards looking for something to eat. He found a box of fruity pebbles, hastily tearing the box open and sitting next to Shorter. "I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep." I smiled, watching as he devoured the colourful cereal by the handful like a young child. "Why are you crying?" He mumbled between crunches. "Had a dream that felt too real."
"Been there." He chuckled, placing the box on the Island and walking back into the living room. Shorter picked up the cereal box, shaking it and looking in surprise as it was empty.

"I only bought that yesterday!" A groggy, but pissed voice seethed from down the hallway. Eiji matched towards the kitchen island. He huffed, snatching the box from Shorter and glaring at Sing before throwing the empty box towards the back of his head. The box hit it's target, and Sing let out a surprised yelp, turning around and glaring back at Eiji. "You'd better apologise lil dude, Eiji can be feisty before he's had coffee." Shorter warned, standing up and greeting Eiji good morning. He then proceeded to make coffee, something I was greatly appreciative of.

The noise of Eiji lecturing Sing about eating someone else's breakfast cereal, and how it's impolite to just take things must had woken Ash up, as he was the next one to enter the growingly noisy room. He glared at the two of them, the daggers in his eyes silencing them as he trudged over to the island to get coffee. "Why the hell of everyone up before 8am. Are you all pensioners now?" He grumbled, flopping down next to me and taking a sip of my coffee. "Good morning." Ash muttered to me, placing a delicate kiss on my cheek and then returning my coffee. After a few moment he realised something was up, his head turned to face me. "Is something wrong?" He asked, eyes suddenly bright and scanning every inch of my visible body for some sign of harm. "No, I don't think so.." I replied, taking another mouthful of my drink. "No, something's up. Come and talk to me." He said firmly, standing up and waiting for me to do so too.

"Fine." I mumbled, following him to the bedroom.
