When a Lynx Meets a Leopard [Ash Lynx x fem reader]

~Chapter 28: Bacon + maple syrup = an empty stomach~

(Y/n)'s POV

Soon after I finished my rant about how much I hated hormones, me and Ash grabbed some blankets and headed back to the house. Max and Ibe were chatting casually, same with Eiji and Shorter. I dropped half the blankets I had in my arms on the ground before finding a corner and laying down in it, forming a bed of sorts from two blankets. "Right, let's get some rest like the old man suggested."  Ash chuckled, also dropping some blankets and coming over to me.

"I'm not that old, punk." Max muttered, laying himself down with a blanket off the floor. Eiji and Shorter also settle down, quickly falling asleep. Ash lay down not too far away from me, slowly but surely inching closer to my back. I shivered slightly when Ash's breath tickled the back of my neck as he buried his face there. My hand reached across my body to find one of his hands. When I found one, I dragged it over and up by my face. I rested my head in Ash's hand, nuzzling into the comforting warmth.

When I woke up early the next day, that warmth had gone. I turned over to see the makeshift bed empty, but the blankets were crumpled. I could hear the distant sound of single gunshots, closely followed by the shattering of glass. I followed the noise, carefully stepping over the still sleeping people. When I exited the house, I instantly noticed Ash in the distance shooting glass bottles. Walking closer with a yawn, I called out to Ash, making him turn around. "Did I wake you?" Ash called back, to which I shook my head and smiled. By now I was by Ash's side and I gently took the revolver from his hand. Weirdly he let me take the hand gun and aim it at the last glass bottle. I steadied my (left/right) hand with the other, took a deep breath and pulled the trigger. "Bang." I whispered as the bullet flew out of the barrel and straight through the glass whiskey bottle. The shards of glass fell to the floor with satisfying thuds as I looked up and Ash and smiled proudly.

"Good shot." He muttered, softly kissing my forehead. "However, we are out of bottles. Oh well. Are you hungry?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, lets go get something to eat then." We then made our way to the diner. Max and Ibe were outside the building, attempting to fix the truck. "It seems we'll have to put in a new battery." Max sighed, scratching the back of his neck. "This baby won't last until Los Angeles." He muttered to Ibe, leaning on the now closed bonnet. "Morning." I greeted them as me and Ash walked past, as Ash simply nodded at them. The two men replied with a simple, 'good morning', before returning to chatting.

Shorter and Eiji were already inside the diner, halfway through their food. The place smelt of bacon and maple syrup, it made my stomach churn. I quickly turned and exited the diner, promptly depositing the contents of my empty stomach on the decking. My head spun as I knelt down, my body heaving as I choked up what little was inside. Tears spilled from my eyes. Heaving up nothing hurt. A hand soon fell on my back and a knee appeared beside me. I glanced sideways to see Ash kneeling next to me, rubbing my back and holding my hair away from my face. 

"(Y/n)! Are you alright?" Eiji's voice said as the diner door swung open. He was worried, I could tell from his voice. "Uh... I'm not sure how to respond to that." I grimaced, sitting up and leaning into Ash, feeling quite weak. I couldn't look at the puddle of stomach bile that sat before me. Instead I closed my eyes and rested my head on Ash's shoulder. I jumped slightly when I fell another hand fall on my shoulder. Surprised, I opened my eyes to see Eiji knelt beside me and Shorter behind him. "Please, tell me what's going on." He begged, worry etched across his face. I closed my eyes again, taking a shaky breath.

"Long story short... I'm pregnant." I didn't open my eyes, not wanting to see the expression on Eiji's face. "W-with who? Ash?" He stuttered, making my eyes fly open as a blush spread across my cheeks. "What? No!" I yell with shock, startling Eiji. "Sorry, I didn't mean to yell. But no, I'm not pregnant with Ash's baby..." 
"With who then?"
"With someone who I never consented too." Eiji caught on. He figured out that I had been raped and that I didn't want to talk about it. "Can we get something to eat now? Please?" I was on the verge of tears. Hunger and hormones combined created an anxious and tearful (Y/n). Luckily, Ash picked up on this and stood up. "(Y/n), what do you want to eat?" I though for a moment before looking up at Ash as he towered over me. "U-uh... maybe some (favourite breakfast food)?"
"Okay. I'll be back soon." Ash bent over and ruffled my hair slightly before heading back into the diner to get my food. Now without Ash to lean on, Eiji pulled me into a hug. I was pretty sure he and Shorter had worked out me and Ash were... something, so I allowed him to hug me. 

"So, what are you and Ash now?" Eiji asked curiously as Shorter smirked, throwing a bucket of water over my vomit to wash it away. "I honestly don't know... I mean, we've kissed a few times and the forehead kisses are nice-"
"Wait, he kissed you?!" Eiji said a little too loudly like an excited fanboy. "Well yeah..." I mumbled, turning my head away from Eiji. Shorter wolf whistled, making me blush. "What did I say? Ash likes you." He chuckled, instantly shutting up as Ash walked back out of the diner, a plate of (f/b/f) in hand along with some water. "What were you talking about?" He asked, giving the plate of food to me and siting back down. Now that Ash was back, Eiji let go of me from the hug and gently nudged me back to Ash. I lean on the blonde boy's shoulder as I cut a piece of my food and stabbed it with a fork. "And why are you blushing?" Ash asked me, gently lifting my chin with his thumb to see my face. I smirked and took the opportunity to kiss him. It was just a quick peck on the lips but I managed to shut him up, with a bonus of making him blush slightly.

"Now who's blushing?" I chuckled, taking a bite of my food.
