Song: Fool
By: Cavetown
(Y/n)'s POV
When we all go out of the museum, somehow we had all managed to come out in the same place. Ash looked quickly at us, gesturing for us to follow. I ran up to him and stoob by his side, waiting for everyone else to catch up. When they did, we all ran, Ash leading the way. "Are you alright to be running?" I asked Ash nervously, keeping pace with the usually much faster man. He just grunted in response, letting his hand gently stroke my shoulder as we ran. I frowned, knowing he wasn't really well enough to be doing this.
When we got the the place Ash was leading us to, a man stood in the doorway pulled out a gun. "Who are you- oh, Ash?" He asked, and Ash just nodded and he let us in. Groups of men were laying around, all either sleeping or talking quietly amoung themselves. "In there." One of the told us, gesturing to a room next door. "There's some space for you all to get some rest." I smiled and thanked him, walking first into the room. A couple mats were on the floor, pillows and blankets thrown lasily on top. Ash quickly settled down on one, removing his shoes and falling down onto it.
"Tired?" I asked, kneeling down next to him. "Not at all." He replied, resting his head on my lap and falling asleep instantly. I chuckled, going to pull a blanket over him, but noticing some areas that needed dressing. "Bones, think you can find me a first aid kit?" I asked quietly, gently running my hands through Ash's silky hair. The boy nodded and skuttled of to find what I had asked for, soon returning with some bandages and some warm water with a cloth. "There isn't a first aid box, but I found these?" He chuckled nervously, passing me the wrapped bandages and placing the water on the floor.. "It's fine, these will do. Thanks." I smiled, tenderly easy Ash's head from my lap, then removing his jumper and shirt. I washed the skin a little, before wrapping the clean white bandages around Ash's upper torso and shoulder. He stirred a little, but didn't wake fully, which I was glad about.
When I had finished, I pulled the blanket over Ash and settled down next to him. I ust kept all my clothes on, not bothering to remove anything apart from my shoes an hoodie. I nuzzledmy head into Ash's chest, wrapping my arms securely around him while he slept peacefully. "Mind if I sleep here?" EIji asked, laying down on the mat closest to us, smiling happily to himself while he snuggled under the balnket with a content sigh. But I was already asleep, comfy and warm next to Ash once again.
I was the first to wake up, closely followed by Kong and then Bones. I just stayed where I was for a bit, relishing in the warmth and temproary security. Ash looked so peaceful while he slept, not stress or worry on his face, just pure relaxation. It was nice to see, and I was enjoying this quiet time. It was inturrupted by Kong standing up and stretching, his stomach growing loudly. "Sorry." He muttered sheepishly, looking away towarda Bones, whos stomach was also groaning. "Hungry? Yeah, me too." I muttered, slowly freeeing myself from Ash's grip. I carefully got up as not to wake Ash, and covered him back over with the blanket. "Do you guys have any money?" I asked, stretching out with a yawn and pulling my hoodie back on. It was 6:27am, far to early to be up now, but I was hungry, and so was everyone else.
Bones and Kong rooted around in their pockets, producing about $15 between them. By now, Alex had stirred and was slowly waking up." You guys going to get food?" He groaned sleepily, reaching into his pocket and fishing out a crumpled $20 bill and waving it lazily at us. "Here. Get me something caffinated." He muttered, turning back over and falling bac to sleep. "Righ, so that's about $35. That shouldbe enough, right?" Bones and Kong nodded, pulling on jackets and tying shoe laces.
"(Y/n)? Where you you going?" I turned around just as we were about to leave, spotting Eiji sitting up in his bed and rubbing his eyes. "We're just going to the shop, Ei-Chan. Do you want anything?" I asked him, but Eiji just shook his head sleepily. "Oh, if Ash wakes up while I'm gone, just let him know I'm with Bones and Kong." I smiled, waving lightly to Eiji and following the two men out the front door, stepping carefully over the sleepig guys.
"Will it even be open now?" I mused, walking close to Kong while Bones hung off my arm. "Dunno. I'd be surprised if it isn't." Kong replied with a reassuring smile. "Right, I need to find something I can get that bloody boy to eat." I chuckled lightly as we walked into the quiet, local convenience store. I greeted the exhausted looking worker before making my way to the chilled section. There were a few fridges with different sandwichs and salads, as well as some drinks andlittle tubs of fruit. I quickly spotted a salad I new Ash liked, avocado and shrimp. I smiled to myself, knwoing that if I could get him to eat anything, It would be his favourite food. I then proceeded to wander around the shop a little more, picking up small snacks as well as some other esential things. Bones followed me around the whole time, closely inspecting the items I picked up, and the ones I put back down again. "What are they?" He asked, pointing towards a couple of boxes in my arms. "Uh, pads and those are tampons." I replied simply, walking awayfrom him as quickly as possible. "Oh. (Y/n)?" Bones asked again, catching upwith me as I amde my way over to the till where Kong was waiting patiently. "Yeah?" I replied, loading the things onto the counter for the employee to scan."What's a tampon?"
"I am not having this convosation with you here, Bones." I groaned, hiding behind Kong who was trying to surpress his laughter. "Oh, okay." Bones smiled happily, helping to put the stuff into bags. "That comesto $30, please." The worker sighed, sluggishly taking the money off Kong and wishing us a good day.
When we got bac to the hideout, pretty much everyone was still alseep. Including Ash and Eiji.I smiled, watching the two closest people to me sleep peacefully on the floor. I placed the bag I was holding down and got out the avocado salad for Ash and a small bar of chocolate for Eiji. I lay the items down next to them, gently brushing a few strands of hair from Ash's face. A shaft of light was coming down from a high window, and I new that as soon as it hit Ash's face, he'd wake up.
I sighed and stood up, making my way outside and to the roof of the building we were in. It was still early, but it was nice. The sun was warm as I lay on the roof, a small polaroid picture in my hand while I dozed off a little. "Up already?" Ash's voice intterrupted my sleep, making me jump. "Oh my goodness, Ash. Don't scare me like that." I whined, sitting up and looking at him. Ash had the salad bowl in his hand, contently picking at it with the small plastic fork that came with it. "This is from you, isn't it?" He asked, a shrimp hovering halfway to his mouth. I nodded and gestured to his bandages. "I wrapped you up like an Egyptian mummy, too." I chuckled as he sat down next to me, offering the shrimp on his fork for me to eat. I shook my head, leaning on Ash instead while he ate.
"What's that?" He hummed, looking down at the picture in my hand. "It's the polaroid picture that Eiji took of us that one time, remember?" I smiled softly at it before placing the beatiful polaroid back into my pocket. "How are you feeling?" I asked Ash, sinking down to aly my head in his lap. "Better, thanks to you."
"I swear, all I do is wrap you up in bandages and feed you." I sighed, putting on a fake pout and looking away with a huff. "Aww. Want me to wrapyou in badages then?" Ash teased, mimicking my pout. "No... but just stay here for a while." I mumbled, wrapping my arms around Ash's waist and pressing my head against his bare stomach, just below where the badages were. I heard him chuckled a little, putting his food down and stroking my hair. I pressed a soft kiss on his skin, my face hidden from veiw by his red jacket. Ash hummed, tenderly playing with my hair.
"I love you, Aslan." I muttered against his skin, pulling myself even closer. "I love you too, (Y/n)."
