Chapter 45: Do You Love Me?

(Y/n) POV

After another comfortable 30 minuets, there was the loud chatter that told us that Ash's gang had returned. He sighed heavily, slipping deeper under the water so that he was laying in the bath. I chuckled as he glared at me with just his eyes above the water, blowing bubbles in the water. "Come on, it can't be that bad." I smiled, rolling onto my front and resting my chin on my hands atop Ash's chest. He lifted his head slightly, bringing a hand to my chin and running a thumb over my bottom lip. His hand then moved to my ears, removing the stupidly heavy ruby earrings I still had in. "Where-" Ash started, examining the gems. "Dino." I cut him off, scowling and knocking the earrings from his hand.

"Did he do anything to you?" Ash asked gently, brushing some strands of hair from my face. "No, but he was going to." I replied, leaning into his palm. "What stopped him?"
"You turned up." I smiled, placing a kiss on Ash's nose. "Does he know you were pregnant?" 
"Well, if he figured it out, it's a little late." I sighed, slowly sitting up and getting out of the bathtub. Ash watched me, carefully analysing my body for any signs of injury. 

"Ash, I'm fine. You don't have to examine me." I chuckled, wrapping a towel around myself as Ash got up out the bath with a grunt. I threw him a towel before focusing on drying myself. Eyeing up the pack of pads Eiji had brought, I frowned slightly before opening them and removing one. It was wrapped in pink plastic and unscented. I sighed and placed it on the inside of my underwear before slipping them on. By now, Ash was already dried off, dressed and waiting to open the door.

"Give me that." Ash smirked, gesturing to the towel wrapped around my body. I was fully dry, and had already been naked in front of him, so I took it off and passed it to Ash. He caught it, stepping closer to me as I dressed. A slightly damp towel soon covered my vision, followed my the gentle shaking of my head as Ash dried my hair for me. I smiled, buttoning up the over-sized shirt I had been lent by Ash. "That's a bit big for you." He chuckled, removing the towel from my head, letting my damp hair fall in a frizzy mess. I shook my head and lent backwards into Ash as he draped his arms over my shoulders from behind. 

"Ready to go and be a gang leader again?" I grinned, following Ash out the bathroom. He groaned and muttered the whole way, but I could see the small smile playing on his lips. When we got to the living room, Ash was greeted by everyone with a cheerful 'Boss!' before they all fell deadly silent. 

I stayed in the doorway as Ash moved to the sofa, picking up a tablet and turning it on as he went. Eiji then approached me, nudging my side with his elbow. "So~" He hummed lowly with a smirk. "What did you and Ash do while I was gone?~" Eiji teased quietly, making me blush. "Not what you think. We had a bath, that was it."
"Yeah, a bath! Together! C'mon, that's a step forwards!" He squealed as quietly as possible, but Ash shot him a short and confused look. "Thank you." I mumbled, looking away from the over-excited boy next to me. "For what?" He asked, slinging an arm over my shoulders with a smile. "For.... you know, going out and buying the pads for me."
"Yeah, no problem. Ooh~ lover boy is looking your way! Better move my arm before he tries to shoot it off!" Eiji yelped as I wacked him with the towel that was still around my back, making him swiftly move away.

None of the gang members payed any attention to us. They were all to focused on Ash, waiting on his every words. I smiled, seeing that Ash was treated with the upmost respect from his gang. "Which groups are under Arthur now?" He asked suddenly, looking up at Alex. "Almost every one. Only two groups other than the Chinese are still somewhat neutral. They're too afraid to do anything." Alex responded, his eyes never leaving Ash as he spoke. Ash smirked a little. "Typical Arthur." He mused, standing up from the sofa. "Arthur's looking for me now like his life depends on it." Ash sighed, crossing his arms and sending me a quick glance, which didn't go unnoticed. "He's backed by the Corsican mafia. But I'll repress them." He continued confidently, making a few members gasp. "You guys gather as much Info as you can. The number of men, their races, who the bosses are, their hideouts... but be careful. Remember that you are in danger, too. Stay alert."

There was a collective, "Yes, Boss!", from the gang members before the scurried off, leaving me, Ash and Eiji in the flat. "I'm gonna take a bath too." Eiji said, making his way upstairs.

Ash's POV

"What?" I asked (Y/n) as she smiled, walking closer and flopping down on the sofa. "Hm? Oh, nothing. Just that you are a great leader. You really care about them, don't you?" She smiled, watching as I sat down next to her. Within seconds, my head was pulled into (Y/n)'s lap, her hands running through my hair. "Well yeah." I muttered, melting into the affection she was showing. I closed my eyes, focusing purely on the movement of (Y/n)'s hands through my hair. "Do you like that?" She chuckled, removing her hands for a moment. "Yeah. Don't stop." I replied quickly, making (Y/n) chuckled and resume playing with my hair.

"Roll onto your back." (Y/n) asked, and I did as she wanted, rolling onto my back so I was facing the ceiling. "I love your eyes." I mumbled, making her blush and cover her face with one hand. "Hey! Don't cover your face!" I said louder, pulling her hand from her face and placing it across my neck. "Uh... Ash?" (Y/n) asked quietly, looking away. "Mhm?" I hummed back, tilting my head back to see her properly. 

"Do you... do you love me?"
