(Y/n) POV

Just as Ash had said, Alex was sent for me and Eiji. I gathered what little I had, and followed Alex to a new apartment building. The room he took us to was huge, worth at least a couple million. We weren't alone. Ash and some of his guys were sat down around a coffee table, talking quietly. A large TV showed the news, and how 12 people had been killed during gang violence. I could only see them through a crack in the door, and I decided it was best not to disturb them. I'd have to annoy Ash later.

I dropped my stuff in a room I had spotted Ash's belongings in before searching for Eiji. He was in his own room, setting up a camera facing out a window. "Watch ya setting that up for?" I asked, wandering over and peering down at what he was doing. "Ash asked me to take pictures of the building next to us." He replied simply, tweaking a few last things before stepping back. "Y/n)? Would you mind if I took a few pictures of you?" Eiji asked politely, picking up a second, handheld camera from his bed. I nodded happily, quickly agreeing to the idea.

Halfway through the mini photo shoot, Ash came into the room. He chuckled at me, as I was doing a rather weird pose. Bending over and looking at the camera upside down, sticking my tounge out and holding my hands up in 'gang' signs. (Y'know... Juuzou anyone?)

"What are y-" Ash stopped mid-sentence when he heard the shutter on the camera click close. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him tense and slowly back away from the camera. "Eiji, that enough. Thank you!" I smiled, getting up from my position and walking over to Ash, instantly cupping his face. There was a hint of fear in his eyes, but it seemed to melt away when he met my gaze. "You alright?" I asked quietly, stroking Ash's cheek with my thumb.  "Mhm." He hummed in reply, brushing a few strands of hair from my face.

Click.

Within a second, Ash had drawn the gun he kept in his waistband and fired a bullet. There was the sound of shattered glass, followed by a thud as Eiji dropped the camera he was holding. "I-I'm sorry...." He mumbled, bending over and picking up the broken camera. Ash still had his revolver aimed at where Eiji had stood, his body quivering from a mix fear. "Hey, it's okay." I said to them both, gently lowering Ash's arm and taking the gun from his hand. "Ash, apologise to Eiji." I asked him firmly, but in a gentle manor. "(Y/n), it's okay it was my-"
"Sorry, Eiji." Ash muttered, turning and walking out the room, dragging me with him. I smiled at Eiji before shutting the door as Ash pulled me to the room I had deposited my stuff in earlier.

Ash paced before me as I sat on the bed, legs crossed in front of me. "Ash. what's going on?" I asked worriedly as Ash walked back and forth, running a hand through his hair. "The camera..." He replied, stopping his pacing and coming over to me. Ash knelt down in front of me, looking up at me for reassurance, which I gladly gave. I ran a hand through his hair, massaging his scalp gently. Ash lent into it, placing his head in my lap as his arms wrapped around my waist as much as they could. "Come up here." I said, freeing myself from his grip and laying back onto the bed, propping myself upright with the help of some pillows. Ash did as I had asked, getting up on the bed and falling down next to me. A hand went under my back, the other draped over my stomach. Ash pushed a leg between my two, pulling himself closer while his head rested on my chest. "I can hear your heart." He mumbled, entwining his fingers with mine while my free hand played with his hair.

"I would hope so!" I chuckled, kissing the top of Ash's head as he drifted off.
