(Y/n)'s POV

"Well thanks, your highness." I chuckle a little, running my hands over the steering wheel. "You better look after your own ass. And don't get in my way." Ash replied with a sigh, glancing sideways at me. "You're older than me, right?"
"What? No. I'm 17." I blinked at Ash to see if he was kidding. "Huh?! I though you were older!" He wasn't kidding. "No, I'm the same age as you ya dipshit. Anyways, where to now milord?"
"Just drive. I'll give you directions." With that, I started the car up and began driving.

I soon found myself walking by Ash's side down a bustling street. "I bet Shorter can't wait to see you." I muttered, nudging Ash's arm. He seemed to be in a sort of daze, his sharp eyes constantly flicking around. "Keep walking. Don't look back." He said out of nowhere, speeding up ever so slightly. Now that Ash had mentioned it, I too felt someone's eyes on our backs. We were careful not to attract even more unwanted attention.

Ash lead me into an alleyway. The guy following us was forced to also go into the alley. He walked straight into Ash, falling into his trap. I stood close behind the tall blonde, leaning against a wall and kicking up some stones. "What do you want?" Ash demanded, towering over the other man. When the hooded guy went to grab something, Ash smacked his arm and rammed his knee into the guys side. A metal blade clattered to the floor, followed by its owner and Ash shoving his knee between the mans shoulder blades. I moved away from the wall I was leaning on, bending down to pick up the knife. I flipped it around between my fingers, sort of enjoying the feeling of the cool sharp blade in my hand.

"Who sent you? Arthur? One of Golzines men?" Ash growled, pulling the poor guys head up by his hair. "I know nothing!" The guy pleaded from the floor. My head turned back at the sound of footsteps coming from down the alleyway. A small smile crept onto my lips as Shorter and a group of guys walked towards us. "We'll take it from here." Shorter smirked, cracking his knuckles one at a time. "Haven't lost your touch, eh?" Ash looked up at his best friends voice. "Great to have you back, Ash." Shorter smiled from behind his sunglasses and Ash released the guy from under him.

"Let him go after he talks." Ash brushed his hands on his jeans. "Still acting like the good saint? When will you-" Shorter started, walking closer to us. "I'm just saying he isn't worth killing. It'll  just make more trouble."
"Why not? Let's settle it once and for all. Arthur thinks he's some big shot. Gotta stop him now." Shorter sighed, watching his men lead the guy away. I slumped back against a wall, sliding down to sit at the bottom. "Do you know what happened to Griff's body?" Ash muttered as he stared at his feet. I glance up, meeting his eyes. "Nobody came to pick it up. So it's still at the corner." I sighed, rubbing my temples. "Now that I'm on the run, he'll probably be chucked in a public grave, huh." Ash sounded so dejected, which was understandable. "You back out now, Shorter. I'll settle this myself." I sighed again, not feeling up to arguing with Ash. "Why the fuck am I so tired all of a sudden?" I mutter to myself, resting my head against the wall behind me.

"The hell I will! You can't do anything alone!" Shorter shouted from above me, preventing my tired self from falling asleep on the spot. "This is my problem. It doesn't concern you." Ash replied in a level voice, looking Shorter dead in the eye. "Dumbass, it is my problem too." The slightly taller of the two argued back. "Arthurs killed enough of my guys already. If you go alone, you'll just be killed. You'll die for nothing." Shorter's determination to not let his friend fight alone started to show. "You wont get revenge for the guys or Skip!" He yelled, hoping that would be able to change Ash's mind. It worked. "Fine. Lets do this together, Shorter." Ash sighed and then smirked, holding his hand out to Shorter to shake. "That's the spirit." They did a handshake they had clearly spent time coming up with. I smiled from my position on the floor.

"I've got to get my bit of action." Shorter smirked. "We need somewhere quite to figure out a plan." I said, slowly getting up from the ground. "God, why are you always so damn tired? Are you pregnant or something?" Ash asked, rolling his eyes. My eyes widened at his words. "What the fuck did you just say?" I stare at Ash, feeling genuine fear at the idea of being pregnant. What if Dino had finished inside of me? What if I was pregnant? Oh fuck. "Oi. (Y/n), I was joking." Ash chuckled nervously, shaking my shoulder to bring me back to reality. "Uh, anyways. The cops are lounging around at my place. So is Ibe. I heard what you did, (Y/n). My sis told me all about it." Shorter said, trying to change the topic back. "Sis? She's your big sister?" I exclaimed, honestly surprised. "Yeah, so what?" Shorter replied, getting all defensive over his sister.  Ash sighed and stepped between us. "You're the one who started  this, and that's all you can say?" Ash muttered, slinging and arm over my shoulder. The movement surprised me, but I went along with it blushing slightly and burying my face in the hoodie I had on. "Oi, what's up with you? Are you blushing?"
"What? No...." I replied, glancing up to see a smirking Ash and a smirking Shorter. "The fuck you two smirking at?" I growl at them, trying to escape Ash's arm but failing miserably. "Ah ah ah! No you don't." Ash chuckled, grabbing me with his other arm so I couldn't get out. "Lemme see your face."
"No!"
"Lemme see!"
"No! Fuck off!" Ash grabbed my chin and tilted it up. "Oh you are blushing. Your cheeks feel like they're gonna burn my hands, they're that warm!" He smirked, his eyes flicking from my eyes to my flushed cheeks. His emerald eyes eventually trailed down to my lips. When he looked there I froze, not sure what to do. His thumb rubbed my chin a little.

Shorter just had to go and ruin the moment by saying, "Bloody hell, get a room!". I chuckled awkwardly, pulling away from Ash and walking ahead and unknowingly leaving him a little red in the face.
