"I'm not called a Lynx for no reason, you know?"
"I am afraid of no big cats, Lynx. They always grow to fear me instead."

Yesterday, Griff died. Yesterday, Ash unknowingly lost another one he was close to. He lost his brother.
Ibe had gotten a call from Charlie, saying that Ash would be released today. Eiji seemed really excited. "Really? Ash is getting out of jail?" He said, his eyee widening at the news. "Captain Jenkins helped him. But this all ends here for us. After we take Ash to the captain, we're heading straight to the airport." The happy expression fell from Eiji's face at the older mans words. He looked to the side and muttered an 'Okay'. "Hah? The airport? You're not going back to Japan, are you?" I sat up from the sofa I was laying on. I didn't get a response. Instead the two men stood up and got ready to leave for the prison Ash was being held at.
It didn't take long to get there, but the waiting for Ash seemed to take years when in reality it was only half an our. As soon as the tall blonde-haired man walked through the door, Eiji stood up and pretty much ran over to him. "Ash! I'm so happy you're out." He said, moving his hands about as he spoke. I soon joined his side, removing my hands from the pocket of Ash's hoodie. "Hey, (Y/n). You still have my hoodie." "You ain't getting it back." I mumbled, burying my face in it and patting Ash's shoulder. I didn't expect for my wrist to be grabbed and yanked forwards into a pair of waiting arms. Ash wrapped his arms around my waist, bringing his mouth to my ear. "Thanks." He muttered, turning my face pink. There was a whistle from behind me. I turned around to see a smirking Eiji. "Shut. Up. Eiji. Okumura." I growl with embarrassment and annoyance, walking past him and out the door. Leaving behind a very confused, yet smirking, Ash.
The four men soon followed me out the door and caught up. He didn't go very far before Ash started talking. "Hey, Charlie. I never told you this, but I actually have a big brother." "Really? I never knew." Charlie look away from Ash, who had come up on his right. "He must be worried, so I want to go see him. Before we go see Captain." I winced at Ash's words. Of course, he doesn't know about Griff. The pain on Charlie's face was visible as he slowed down. "Ash, listen." He starts, screwing his eyes up from effort. "I can't keep it from you any longer. I need you to stay calm. Griff.... he... he's dead." Charlie couldn't bare to look at Ash, so be walked ahead and got into a car. Ash wore a look of shock, the news not fully sinking in yet. We all followed Charlie mindlessly to the car and got in. Ash up front with Charlie, Eiji, me and Ibe in the back.
"I'm sorry Ash. I- it's my fault for not listening to my instincts..." I was close to tears, something very unusual for me. What the hell had gotten into me? Why was I being so emotional lately? Honestly, I did feel horrible for Ash, but this wasn't something I'd cry over. "You okay?" Charlie asked Ash, glancing over at the cowering boy. "I feel sick. Can you stop the car?" Was how Ash responded, gazing out the window. Without another word, Charlie pulled the car over and got out to help Ash. "Here, grab my hand." Charlie said through the open passenger door, extending his arm to Ash. He went into his pocket for something but when he looked back up, he found himself staring down the barrel of Ash's gun. Like any sane person would, Charlie jumped backwards.
"Sorry you three, I need you to get out." Ash said, his face void of any clear emotion. "Don't be stupid. What do you think you're doing?" Charlie asked, fear showing in his voice and his eyes. "Ask your chatty friend. He knows." "Max. That idiot..." Ash's motives were clear. He sought out revenge. "Calm down. We know the shooter is with Arthur." Charlie started, but Ash cut him off. "I don't care!" He yelled, still holding his gun up. "This is my problem. I'm going to settle it myself. Now, step aside." "Ash! Don't be so damn stupid. You're going to get yourself killed!" I shouted at Ash, making him falter a little, but not enough for Charlie to disarm him. Suddenly, Ibe said "Watch out, its Arthur!" as loud as he could. He succeeded in distracting Ash for long enough for Charlie to jump forwards and twist the gun from his hand... or try to. Charlie and Ibe both wrestled Ash for the pistol.
While that was happening, I had slipped around to the drivers side. I got in and turned the key, making the engine rev. "Sorry Ibe and Charlie!" I bit my lip to prevent a laugh from escaping. I pulled the wheel sharply, throwing Ibe and Charlie into Eiji and knocking all three of them over. I then floored the acceleration, speeding away and avoiding other cars. Somehow, despite my suicidal driving, I didn't get pulled over or start a crash.
"Oh no. I bet Ibe and Charlie are furious..." I hummed with amusement from the drivers seat, of the car having slowed down a bit. Yeah, I was still speeding but I was young and its fun. "Stop the car." Ash practically ordered me. With a small protest, I did as I was told and pulled the vehicle over in a stand-by lane. "Now you get out." He commanded. "Nah. This is my problem, too. I watched your brother get shot right in front of me. I couldn't do anything then, but I can now." I felt my face get damp as a few tears trickled down my cheeks. Why the hell am I crying? I don't need to cry now?! "Why are you such a masochist? You feel responsible for everything." Ash asked. I chuckled a little, wiping away the tears.
"Have it your way, geez." Ash sighed, looking out the window on his side.
~~~ If I had actually been driving, I would have caused at least three crashes😂 Anyways, Have a great day/night, ~Author-Chan❤
