(Y/n) POV

As it turns out, I didn't have as much time as I though I would. About an hour after I was taken in, I was bailed out by someone who I wasn't told the name of. It wasn't just me, though. The Chinese boss was also bailed out. I didn't particularly like him, probably because I thought he was seen as Shorter's 'replacement', but no one could ever replace Shorter. Not to me, anyways.

After that, I was pushed into a car by a couple of bodyguard looking people. I didn't bother to resist, not that I could much... I was still healing from an injury. Sing got into a seperate car, yelling over his shoulder at the guys who had manhandled me to be careful. Why he was so worried about me, I have no idea. Perhaps he thought if he didn't, Ash'd have his arse.

When the car finally pulled to a stop, and I was let out, the smae two body guards lead me to a room inside the large house. It was comfortable enough, considering I'd been dragged here against my will. A double bed sat in the middle of the room, next to it two wooden bedside tablea with a lamp on top of one and a vase of white lilies on the other. There was a window opposite the wooden double doors, which suddenly opened up, revealing Yut-Lung. I turned around to face him, glareing.

"No need to glare, I won't eat you up." He said calmly, a slight smirk on his pale face. "Why are you locking me up in here?" I spat, turning around fully, but staying on the other side of the room. "I want to leave. Now."
"Theres nothing you can do to help Ash." Yut-Lung replied, as calm as ever. "Mhm. And what do you know?"
"I know that the operation went well, and he is in good hands." I sighed in relief, but carried on glareing at the young man before me.

"But I have bad news, too." He continued, crossing his arms over his chest. "Golzine is coming back. Obvioulsy, he must already know what went on. And now Ash is severely hurt and bedridden..."
"I bet that filthy old man is licking his lips at that." I growled, desperatly trying to think of a way to protect Ash until he was well enough to do so himself. Suddenly, my feet started to walk around the bed and towards the door with me telling them to. "Where are you going?" Yut-Lung asked, watching me go. "I'm leaving." I replied simply, reaching for the door handle. "And what can you do to help him?" He smirked, trying to aggravate me. "A lot more than you might think." I snapped back, pushing the door open.

"A friend? What a joke. You think so highly of yourselfcompared to the peerless Ash Lynx?" Yut-Lung chuckled stiffly as he walked towards the window, making me stop momentarily. "H has no need for friends. Ash is a wild beast. A beautiful beast, free and uncontrollable." He continued, smirking as he noticed he had my attention. "If you think I am trying to control Ash, or take away his freedom, you are incredibly wrong." I seethed, just about ready to murder this boy. "Let me finish." He snapped back, meeting my gaze calmly. "All he needs are those that idolise him, and those like Arthur who defy him. He doesn't need anyone else. Especially not someone like you, who is just a burden. You didn't realise that? I see you're stupid."

I scoffed, walking swiftly over to Yut-Lung, grabbing him by the collar and bringing him down to meet my eyes. "The only one here who is a burden at the momet, is you. And that's to me. Now I'll be go-" Before I could finish, there was a quick and skillfully placed chop of Yut-Lungs hand to the side of my neck. The blow was too difficult, nor had it been too hard, but I was knocked unconciouss almost instantly.

Left to be caught my the person whom I had grown to hate, and placed onto the bed behind me.

Ash's POV

I had only been concious for a few hours, and a group of girls had already tried to see my dick, had an intelligence test, severely confused some guy named Mr.Halper, and have some assasin try and kill me in the middle of the night. Not to mention the very fun lectures from Charlie and Jenkins.

"How did you know she wasn't a nurse?" Max asked after the police arrived at the hospital, and the assassins body was carried away. "The smell." I replied, walking over to him. "Her perfume or something?"
"The lack of. The first rule of assassination is never to leave behind any traces. Ever noticed how (Y/n) never wears perfume or scented body sprays or deodorants? It's just a habit of hers. Anyways, that woman not smelling of anything cost her life. No nurse doesn't smell of antiseptics." I smirked as Max muttered a 'clever'.

Without any warning, my body fell forwards as blood dripped from the now reopened wound on my side. "Ash!" Max called, catching me before I could fall to the floor. I winced in pain, pressing one of my hands to the stab wound as nurses swarmed around us. I felt Max stand me up straight before slipping an arm under my legs and picking me up. My eyes were screwed shut from pain as both my hands now pressed against my still bleeding injury. Max gently lay me onto a medical bed, nurses instantly leaning over me and pulling my shirt up so they could start work on the bloody mess that was on my left side.

Somewhere along the line, I must have passed out or been knocked out. Either way, I woke up in the same room I was in before. Max sat my my side in a chair, alseep and snoring loudly. I sighed, taking a pillow from under my head and throwing it at him. Max groaned, but woke up pretty quickly. Guess that comes from having a wife like Jessica.

"Oh! Ash, you're awake!" He smiled, giving me my pillow back. "Yeah, kinda hard to stay asleep when you've got an old man snoring for half the country right next to you." I rolled my eyes, sitting up in my bed a little. Deciding to ignore my comment, Max just started talking. "The docter were shocked, y'know. Getting in a brawl like that after such a huge operation."
"It was good exercise. I was worried I might get fat lying here." I smirked, chuckling a little to myself. "You don't have to act tough. You're pale." Max smiled down at me. "(Y/n) would kill me if she found out what happened." I laughed, grimicing as pain shot through my body. "It's just so irritating, not being able to move my own body." I sighed, leaning back into the bed. "Things like these will keep happening if you stay here. There are too many people who want you dead, not just Golzine." Max ran a hand through his hair, clearly unsure of what to do.

"But the guy behind it this time wasn't the old man. He'd want to capture me alive and torture me to death." I mumbled, trying not to think of what would happen if I fell into Dino's hands again. Or what he would do to (Y/n) or Eiji, if he got his filthy hands on them. "Which reminds me, Golzine is coming back next week." Max didn't look at me as he spoke. Instead, his eyes stayed glued to the floor. I smiled a little, not because I was happy.

"I wonder if he found a good taxidermist." I chuckled, remembering what Golzine had said to me last time I saw him. Max looked at me and blinked twice, trying to process what I had just said.

"Don't worry about it." I said, my face going back to normal.
