Song: This Side Of Paradise
By: Coyote Theory
(Y/n) POV
"Why? You can't boss me around?" I got outside just in time to see Ash slap Sing's face, towering over him. The smaller boys' back was pressed up agaisnt a wall, Ash stood about a foot away from him. "Oi! He was trying to help us!" I yelled, jumping onto the roof where the boys' were. I stuck my hands into the pockets of my hoodie, walking over to the pair. "I thought I told you to stay there." Ash glared at me, to which I sighed. "And? Since when have I listened to you telling me what to do?" I glared right back at him, clicking my tounge when he looked back to Sing.
"If any word of this gets out, your friends will all die. And you call yourslef a boss?" Ash seemed to be seething, his gaze like daggers stabbing into Sing. "Ash, why must you always be like this?" I scolded him, stepping between the two guys. "He was trying to help you!" I craned my neck to try and see Ash's face, but he simply looked in the other direction. "Then I'm asking just one thing. Do nothing." Ash said to Sing, still not meeting my eyes. It was starting to piss me off.
"Fine, have it your way. I won't stop them anymore. For them, you're the bad guy who killed Shorter. For me, too." Sing spat on the floor before urning, and running back inside.
"Now you've made him mad." I sighed heavily, glancing sideways at Ash. "And you, why did you tell him?"
"I have my reasons."
"Yeah, which are?" I bite the inside of my lip till it bled, turning to face Ash fully, but he was looking in the opposite direction. "Oh for fucks sake." I groaned, spitting some blood onto the floor before walking past Ash, placing myself on the edge of the building's roof. "What?" Ash asked innocently, wondering what he did wrong and why I was annoyed. "If I didn't tell him, he would still have misunderstood, and would have tried to kill you." I looked over my shoulder at Ash, who still wouldn't look at me. "A little brat can't kill me."
"You think I don't fucking know that?" I took a deep breath to calm myself, just as I heard footsteps behind me. I stood up quickly, whipping around to face Ash, who still averted his gaze.
"Why won't you look at me? Look at me, damnit!" Ash's piercing green eyes finally looked into my (e/c) ones, softening slightly. "Why are your eyes red? Have you been crying?" He asked cautiously, furrowing his brow as he lifted my chin with his thumb totake a better look. "No." I snapped back, slapping his hand from my face and staring in another direction. I heard Ash sigh, taking another step closer. Suddenly, a pair of warm arms wrapped themsleves securely around my body. "I'm sorry." Ash whispered in my ear, holding me tight. I was slow to respond, but eventually did hug him back, burrying my face into his chest. "I knew you wouldn't leave... but for a moment-" I started, eyes welling up with tears. "I feel so guilty about everything..." Ash started to slowly rock the two of us side to side, gently shushing me. "I-If I hadn't of come to New York... Shorter might still be alive." The rocking stopped and Ash stiffened, pulling me even closer to him. "No, no, (Y/n). You did nothing wrong, I don't want you thinking Shorter' death was your fault." He mumbled softly into my ear, kissing the top of my head.
"Not only that, but for a moment I thought I'd lost you."
"But you didn't. I'm still here." Ash chuckled softly, pulling away and wiping the tears from my face. "This is ridiculous..." I mumbled. "It's the second time I've cried today."
"So you were crying earlier!" Ash laughed, knowing that he was right. "Oh shut it. I'm just happy you're safe." I smiled up at him weakly, pulling him into a side hug. "I'm releived that you're okay too, my love." Ash smiled, kissing the top of my head again. My eyes widened at his words. "What?" Ash asked, curious as to why I was suddenly looking so shocked. "You called me, 'love'?" I tilted my head, not sure if i'd heard correctly. "S-sorry... do you not like-"
"Do it again." I beamed up at him, to which Ash smirked back at me.
"Nu-uh. I don't take orders from you." He replied, sticking his tounge out a little. "Ahh I see how it is, darling. Sweetheart. Baby. My dear. Handso-"
"Okay! Okay! I get it!" Ash sighed in defeat, resting his head on mine. We stood in silence for a bit, gently rocking from side to side, enjoying each others company.
"(Y/n)?" Ash asked suddenly. I hummed in response, looking up at him curiously."When we're alone..." He started, rocking back on his heels nervously. I hummed again in encouragemnet, urging him to continue. "Well, when we're alone.... can you call me Aslan?" I smiled as Ash looked away, a faint blush spreading over his cheeks. "Did you not like my other nicknames? I worked very hard on them." I teased, pouting playfully. Ash, no, Aslan sighed, rolling his eyes at me. "I would love to call you Aslan. You have such a beautiful name." The blush on his cheeks darkened. I chuckled, going onto my tiptoes to place a soft kiss on his cheek. "Only when we're alone though, yeah?"
"Only when we're alone." I repeated. "God, I missed you."
"I missed you too, Aslan." I grinned, trying out the name. "But if you leave me like that again, I will beat your arse."
"It's ass." Aslan corrected me.
"No, it's arse."
"Ass."
"Arse."
"Ass."
"Imma beat your fucking 'ass' if you dont shut up."
"Ass."
"You little-" I slapped his arm playfully, making Aslan release an overdramatic wail as he clutched his arm, taking off running. Naturally, I chased after him, flying down the stairs and landing almost on top of him. "Don't just stop suddenly-" I yelped, suddenly remembering that some of Ash's gang was here. Sing and Shorter's guy had already left, but I still got some pretty weird looks.
In amidst some of the guys, a familier black haired Japanese boy sat on the table. "Eiji!" I cried out, catching his attention. He leapt off the table, running over to me as Ash let me past, a small but noticable smile on his face. "How did you- when did you- how?" I stumbled over my words, pulling him into a tight embrace. "Ash contacted me." He smiled, happily accepting the hug. H-he did?"
"Yeah, I did. I knew you'd want to see him, and I don't see any harm in it." I let go of Eiji, skipping over to Ash and pulling him down by the tie he was wearing. I kissed him on the lips, smiling into it. "Thank you, Aslan." I whispered, just loud enough for him to hear. Eiji also heard, but he just smiled to himself and didn't say anything.
The members of Ash's gang who were still here, averted their gaze from me and Ash immediatly. I noticed the pink tinge on their cheeks, unsure on how to react to seeing their Boss get kissed by someone. I chose to ignore them, turning back around to face Eiji, letting go of Ash's tie. "I'm hungry." Eiji nodded in agreement, looking from me to Ash, almsot like he was asking for permission.
"Lets go back to the appartment." Ash said, taking my hand and giving it a squeeze. "We can pick up something to eat on the way." I nodded happily, slipping one of my arms through Eiji's, while holding onto Ash's hand at the same time. I then proceeded to drag the pair out the door.
"I kinda feel like eating (faveourite food)." I declared, making Ash groan. "Oh I do appologise, but I don't feel like eating mustard." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes. "It's never just mustard?" Ash said quizically. "No, it's like 90% mustard, 5% hot dog, 5% bread."
"Yeah, thats about right." Ash chuckled as me and Eiji laughed.
~~~
Ash really does eat an ungodly amount of mustard...
Anyways~
Have an amazing day/night,
