(Y/n)'s POV

A few more days had passed since Ash had started to come around, and Shorter had magically been revived.

Ash was now conscious, and just able to talk. I had pursuaded Shorter to wait for Ash to be discharged before meeting with him. I was still in shock myself over the whole situation. I almost died, then the person I loved almost died, and to top it off, the man who's death ripped me apart, wasn't actually dead. It had been a rollercoaster of emotions.

It was 2pm, and I was making my way to visit Ash. On the way, I passed the florist me and my brother had gotten the flowers for Shorter grave. I stood by the entance for a moment before stepping inside. The same old man hobbled out from behind the counter after hearing the bell ring. "Ah! Young lady, how lovely to see you again!" He grinned, leaning on his walking stick. His face softened when his eyes met mine, his smile turning to a more gentle one. "You look weary, child. Is everything alright? Why don't you sit for a while, I'll make you something to drink." The man motioned towards a stool by the window, walking slowly back behind the counter to get me a drink. "No, that's quite alright. I'm going to visit someone in hospital, and thought I should pick up some flowers first."

"Oh?" The old man turned back around, a smirk coming to his lips when he saw my expression. "This isn't some ordinary friend, is it?" He chuckled as I looked away from him, averting my eyes. "Tell me more, I'll find some flowers that suit them best." I nodded slowly, walking behind the man as he looked around at the flowers, occasionally plucking a wilting rose from the pot, or a dried up leaf from a stem. "Well... he's sweet and funny, but can also be deadly serious when the situation calls for it. He is an amazing leader, and has the most striking jade eyes." I watched curiously as the man picked out some flowers, some he put back, others he added to a growing bouquet. "Carry on, tell me more."

And so, I did. I went into some detail about Ash's personality and appearence, leaving out the fact that he is a gang leader. The kind old man had a soft smile on his face the whole time, listening to me ramble about the guy I love so dearly. Fourty five minutes later, it was all done. I thanked the old man and paid for the bouquet, even though he insisted I didn't.

It was a mixture of roses, tulips and sunflowers with some bright green leaves nestled between the blooms. The colours all complimented each other beautifully, and the scent wasn't too strong. Bouquet in hand, I walked on to the hospital to visit Ash, feeling confident he would love the flowers.

I was right, he did love the flowers. He wouldn't stop smiling when I handed them to him. I placed them into a vase of water, making sure the flowers were evenly spaced. After that, I took off my shoes and coat and placed myself next to Ash on his bed. He was sat up, my head in his lap as he played with my hair. "(Y/n)?" I looked up at him and hummed to show I was listening. "You know, different flowers represent different things. For example, tulips generally mean 'perfect love', red roses are for 'love' and sunflowers symbolise adoration. Did you know that?" He smirked down at me as I turned my head away, making him laugh. "No, I didn't know that... clever sod."

"Sod? That's a new one... what does it mean?" I sat up, glaring at Ash. "It's used for people considered to be obnoxious, so I think it fits perfectly." Ash looked at me with smuggly. "But you love me, that's what the flowers say~" He purred, pulling me closer to him and placing a soft kiss on my forehead, then my lips. I sighed, leaning into his shoulder, being careful to avoid any still healing or sore wounds. "When you were unconcious, there were time I thought you'd never wake up." I mumbled, wrapping my arms around Ash and snuggling closer. "I know, and I'm sorry for making you worry like that, but I'm back again. Everything's okay now, and there is no need to worry. Arthur's dead, Marvin's dead, Dino's dead. We're safe." He muttered into my hair, pulling me closer.

"You know, Ash... when you were still in that coma, I had to shout at your boys'. " I chuckled, making Ash look at me with concern. "Why?" He asked worridly. "Did they do anything to you?"
"No! No, nothing like that. They were fighting over who got to come visit you. They all wanted to come at the same time, which I knew the hospital wouldn't allow, so I had to order them to come in groups of no more than three. I was surpised the listened to me, and Alex looked just as surprised." When I finished, Ash started laughing with me.

"Well, I did tell them to listen to you if I wasn't around. Seems they paid attention!"

Ash might get discharged next chapter... (and more Shorter, ofc.)
Also, I appologise to those who don't like the fact that I brought Shorter back, it will be explained how in later chapter. (I am also emotionally attatched to that idiot, I died when he did ;-;)
I was gonna do more about (Y/n) when he was in a coma, but I'm too impatient for that :)
So, here we are

Anyways~
Have an amazing day/night,
