Chapter 76: Ruined sheets

(Y/n)'s POV

It wasn't long after Ash, Sing, Cain and their respective gangs left, that they returned. I had expected them to be gone for several hours, but in reality it only took just over one and a half. And because I hand't expected them to come back so soon, I almost shot the three leaders as they walked through the door, thinking they were intruders.

"(Y/n)?" Sing's voice called worridly, eyeing up the gun in my hand. "Oh shit. Sorry." I yelped, instantly dropping the gun and appologising to the three men. Cain just chuckled, patting my shoulder gently as he walked past. Sing shrugged his shoulders, and Ash just looked at me as if to say 'What was that about?', before walking over and slinging an arm over my shoulders, pulling me to his side. "Where's Eiji?" He asked as I played with his hand mindlessly, leaning into his warm body. "Oh, he went to bed not too long ago. Said he was tired." I smiled, yawning a little myself. Ash chuckled, gently leading me over to where we had slept the night before. "Seems like he's not the only one." He smiled ad I kneeled down next to Eiji, closely following after telling his guys we were going to bed. 

"You're okay, yeah?" Ash asked me, laying down while he waited for me to finish taking off my jumper. "Yeah, nothing happened." I replied, settling down next to Ash and turning my back to him. I smiled softly at Eiji's sleeping face, happy that he was okay. For now at least.

It didn't take long for Ash to come up behind me, pressing his chest against my back while his arms warpped around my waist. I took one of his hands, bringing it up to my lips and kissing his knuckles gently before intertwining our fingers and letting them fall next to my face on the pillow we shared. "Good. I'm glad." Ash muttered, his breath hitting the back of my neck warmly. I hummed, snuggleing back into Ash with a pleased smile. "I'm going out tomorrow. You can come with me, if you'd like." He continued, his voice drifting off as he fell asleep. "Sure. Where are you going?"
"The old appartment. I just gotta do something. It won't take long." After that, Ash fell asleep completely, closely followed by myself.

Ash's POV

(Y/n) woke me up the next morning by shifting around uncomfortably, groaning softly as she did so. "(Y/n)? What's wrong?" I muttered quietly to her, making her head turn to face me. "Did I wake you?" She asked nervously, turning to face me fully. I shook my head, wrapping my arms securely around her. I felt her sigh, glad she hand't woken me, even though she had. "Now, tell me what's wrong."
"No." (Y/n) groaned, burrying her face in my chest. "Why?" I asked, rubbing her back with my hand. " 'Cause it's embarrassing." She whined, moving again. The cover that was draped over her moved down a little, revealing something that panicked me at first, before I realised and calmed down. "That's nothing to be embarressed about." I hummed reassuringly, kissing the top of her head. "Sorry." She whimpered, clutching my shirt and pulling herself closer to me. "It's okay, don't appologise. Believe it or not, there's a shower here. Not the nicest, but how does that sound?" 

(Y/n) looked up at me, her eyes welled with tears as she nodded. "Right, let's go then." I stood up slowly, getting my jacket and tying it around her waist as she stood up. I pulled the covers back over where she lay, covering up anything to avoid worrying Eiji and the others. I watched as she carefully stepped over the still sleeping Eiji and grabbed a white plastic bag, coming back and taking my hand. "Okay?" She nodded, following me as I lead her to the shower. Pretty much everyone else was sleeping, apart from Cain and Bones, who were just blinking the sleep from their eyes. Bones gave us a quizical look as we walked out the room, but just shrugged it off, falling back to sleep.

The bathroom wasn't dirty, but it was covered in graffiti, like the rest of this place. There were clean towels and a shower that worked, and that's all that mattered at the moment. I let go of (Y/n)'s hand breifly, turning on the shower and letting it warm up. When I turned back around, (Y/n) had locked the door and was starting to undress. "Want company?" I asked, offering to stay or leave if she wanted. "If you don't mind?" She smiled sheepishly, looking at the floor then the shower. "Sure. I did offer." I removed my clothing, then stepping into the shower after (Y/n). She stood under the warm stream of water, eyes closed as she relished in the warmth. I chuckled, moving myself under the water. "That better?" (Y/n) smiled with a nod, leaning her head back to rest on my shoulder.

We stood like that for a while, not doing anything in particular, just letting the water run over us. It was nice. Being able to spend imtimate moments with someone, without it being made sexual or uncomfortable.

I eventually turned off the water, not without (Y/n) making her opinion on that known. "Ash? What the hell? Turn it back on~" She complained, muttering under her breath as she followed me out and dried off. As she sorted herself out, I got dressed into a formal dark green suit with a blue tie. "What's with the suit?" (Y/n) asked, straightening my tie once she was dressing in something she found comfortable. "You look like you're going to a job interview or something." She mused, finishing with the tie and turning back around and looking into a beaten up mirror, a large crack in the centre of it. "Again, I'm sorry for ruining the sheets..." (Y/n) sighed softly, not meeting my gaze when I tilted her head my way. "And again, you don't need to apologise. I'll sort it out, don't worry about it. Now, are you ready to go?" She nodded slowly and I lead her out, meantioning that we were leaving to anyone who was awake, which was most people by now. But as we got to the top of a flight of stairs, Sing came running after us. 

"Ash, (Y/n)!" He called, making the both of us turn around.
